Yeah. I feel dirty tricking her every time. This game has some of the best voice acting ever. Speaking of wjich, Tolvo, she moves her mouth to talk. Will be checking others. Eingyi does too but hr never stops so.....

if so, then it has to be "Lordran silk road"
speaking of, I think Domhnall and Shiva are both traders, and that Lordran is part of the route they use.

Re: There's more to them
Here's a good question, why would Dom start in the depths then move places?
Also something of note, Dusk mentions that she is in the wrong time, and that she must leave when you first rescue her. She then leaves her summon sign down, something which uses the flux of time and space, to bring her back to your world. Wouldn't this mean she can either manipulate the world with her magic, teleport, or literally time travel?

Here's an idea. Lets find the Locations real world equivalents. So far Zena might be England or Ireland, Carim might be Ethiopia etc etc..

The people of Carim seem to be religious, untrustworthy, Caucasian, and have weird faces...
No matter what if you claim a place is Carim, you will come off as a racist.

I'll clip through his helm and check, he should be Caucasion like the Earl of Carim, but I could be wrong. Siegmeyer is white after all while he should be black.

Re: There's more to them
Griggs rant incoming.......
All that ring and spell talk blew my mind. I never paid attention to him really and that's some crazy expletive. Checked out his dialogues and feel like he's genuinely fond of Logan. Plus I had them together at firelink for ages and Griggs never went Petrus all over Logan's face. So I present the Hellboy hypothesis...
Like Hellboy, Logan is a pain the rear for his agency. Reckless, introverted and yes...probably mad. His shenanigans bring shame and negative publicity to Vinheim. However, like Hellboy, his value is immeasurable. His own magics are said to already approach that of Lord Gwyn. He masters Seath's magic (mostly) in abbreviated fashion, showing his unique genius. New and insanely powerful sorcery is second nature.
The term Spook is interesting in this game. The tendency is to assume "assassin." However, CIA agents are commonly referred to as spooks and can mean subterfuge, espionage and spying.
Back to Logan, he's a nuisance yes. Annoying...kinda. But overall he's "mostly harmless." His value is far too great to off the poor chap.
Like Hellboy, I think Griggs is meant to keep ol' Logan from getting in trouble. Look how prone he is to capture. He's not street smart.
Second rant, I said earlier I didn't think Griggs invented the spookcery. Mainly because he gets captured easy too and loses Logan all the time. What if Logan invented those things and used them to escape Griggs?

Re: There's more to them
Hmm underlying slaver hint with earl of carim being white and dubious carim skins black ?? or am i thinking of jubilant catarina xD but yeah could be overlying hints of slavery in carim... well i suppose there is and it seems to be a cultist sort of area, sacrificing people to make purging stones etc; perhaps curses were prominent in there??

*Griggs stands kissing a girl in front of his apartment door.*
G-"So, are you ready to see my hidden weapon?"
*He opens the door to see Logan standing naked in the middle of their apartment. He quickly casts the dragon breath spell killing Griggs date.*
G-"What the hell man!"
L-"Sorry Griggs, I was just testing to see if casting Seath's dangerous curse like spells could cause her to become immortal or not, it didn't end so well."
Griggs shakes his head.
G-"Oh Logan."
L-"Spellbasedmagicviaprimordialcrystalispossibleviacatalystsusingalteredmetalsinfluencedbysaidcrystals!"
The theme song then would play.

L: I wanna cast a Spell!
G: Not again! How many times have i told you to put on some clothes
L: Who are you? Get away from me!?!?
Griggs comes back a few hours later to see the apartment crystallised with Logan standing just in a loincloth in the center of the apartment
L: So what do you think?

Re: There's more to them
@Skare I am using the word spook for assasin or spy. Mostly for sneaky people. The thing is that Logan doesnt sell you hush or fall control, nor is he wearing the slumbering dragoncrest ring while griggs does. I'll look up Grigg's dialogues, see if I see anything new. The Hellboy comparison is a fairly good one. I think the school would have liked to keep Logan, but because of his methods it would damage their rep too much to keep him on the payroll. Griggs may be there to run between logan and the school. Whenever Logan develops a new spell Griggs takes a copy and uses his sneaky skills to get back to the school unseen. My proof, lok at crystal magic weapon -
"Sorcery which improves upon Magic weapon. High magic augmentation : right weapon.
At Vinheim Dragon School, only magic swordsmen on special orders are
allowed to learn this spell which grants powerful augmentation to
various weapons."
The Vinheim dragon school already has access to a crystal spell. How would they? Logan only develops them after getting to the archives? Griggs must manage to get to him, grab a copy and get to Vinheim and back at some point.

Re: There's more to them
Exactly, good points. They still want what he can offer them but not officially. That's good stuff about Logan's spells missing those ones. My only guess if he did invent them is maybe he forgot them. Simplest solution is usually the best though so likely they're not his.

You know the phrase that he says all the time "Aye Simwae" that phrase is welsh so just a bit of speculation on my behalf but I think that Zena is possibly based on wales again for example that Carim is possibly based on Ethiopia which is where the shotel originated from irl...
Translation:
Aye Simwae
Yes Sir...
Have we got our self a merry little revelation here?
You know Im kinda disappointed about this. I always thougth it meant something like "Hello Fellow". I'll have to speaak to him some more to see how this relates to his other lines.
@Tolvo Someone mentioned earlier that it appears Dom doesnt actually want to be found in Lordran. Even when he moves to firelink he's in a hard to reach spot, hidden from most NPCs. Perhaps because you found him he moves, figuring if he has to trade with you he'll at least get some good business from you.
Because of al the love for laur we've just had I'll be adding a section on him next.

thats closer to the truth. however, the joke about their nickname being drake and josh doesn't work as well.
