I think all of us assumed that defer was to let someone else have it but the rules state that you got 24 hours anyway so you didn't really have to ask

I think it's too late to cancel my riddle so lets make it so that you have the next riddle and the one who guesses mine gets one after yours and so on

4)Whoever correctly solves the riddle will have a 24 hour window to submit their riddle. If they are unable to submit a new riddle in time, or choose to forgo the right to submit, the next riddle may be submitted on a "first come, first serve" basis. A new riddle may not be submitted until these criteria are met.

I was under the assumption you were forgoing the right to post a riddle because you were busy. There are no rainchecks, only a 24 hour window. I interpreted your post as passing on submitting a riddle.

However, I will glady create a "Sub-thread" on your behalf because of the confusion. Please see rule 1c, subsection 1 regarding sub-threads. This rule will allow anyone to reserve their right to riddle #3 and not disrupt the flow of the current riddle in process.

This is an example of why the rules in place are there.

I leave the decision to you Mark. I will gladly accommodate if you wish to submit a riddle.

Also, Mark its really not a big deal for me to do this. Everything is done now I think. Its really only a matter of "cutting and pasting" now.

Please man, if you have a riddle you want submitted, we'll chalk this up as "growing pains" and create a sub-thread. Really dude, it would be my pleasure.

I'm sorta glad this happened, it gives me chance to exercise the rules and test their reliability.
