A joke with a double meaning.

Here is what I found on google

Some random guy wrote:An innuendo (also called insinuation) is a remark or question, typically disparaging, that works obliquely by allusion. The intention is often to insult or accuse someone in such a way that one's words, taken literally, are innocent. Innuendo can make use of, but is by no means restricted to, double entendre.

Some modern examples of innuendo include sexual references to human body parts. For example, a woman might attempt to purchase some groceries (in this example, watermelons) and a man might say, "Boy, those are some nice melons you have there." This statement factually describes watermelons; although as opposed to double entendre the man's statement only implies that he was referring to the woman's breasts when the recipient understands

I wanted so badly to participate in the other riddle thread, but the lack of organization and chaos chased me away, so I have to say thank you for making this.

Also, I agree that providing a sub category isn't a horrible thing, sure it makes things easy, but it also makes things doable, and depending on how you word your riddle, could still prove challenging.

I feel the exact same way. I was beginning to think the first 5 or 6 pages would be nothing but arguing about rules and what not.

I'm glad you guys enjoy it.

    Just a thought
How it said slide through armor implies that it is a slash weapon owned by someone else ruling out pierce and strike weapons

I disagree...slide through armor reminds me of pierce weapons. Sliding across would imply slash, but how it is worded makes me think of pierce weapons.

I think this riddle is a bit too broad, as long as the weapon isn't strike and someone drops it or someone is said to have owned it it is a possible answer.

I think your riddle is too broad. It's like saying "I am a fruit" Virtually every weapon in this game fits your requirements; and so it just becomes a guessing game.

    Barbed Straight Sword.
    Balder Side Sword.

Before I head off then I will leave you with this - depending on how you interpret it you will greatly narrow the choices down

    Excellent idea! Done.

I will also seperate the answers and explanations as spoilers so that anyone can still guess if they are not up-to-date.

ADDITIONAL UPDATES TO THE RULES AND ORIGINAL POST

    *snip...see post #1

    STATEMENTS TO RIDDLERS:

*I have edited the “answers” and “explanations” with spoilers, so that way someone can be away for a week or so, and have the answers and explanations at their finger tips for 3 or 4 riddles. I love it. I think it’ll be a great addition.

*I would also like to apologize for a conversation where I appear slightly kurt. I’m sorry, please understand I have been typing very short responses lately as my life is a little "whirlwinded" at the moment. If I seem short with someone, please do not be discouraged. I would like everyone to feel comfortable participating.

*Last but not least, keep the down voting to trolling only, not bad guesses, or rule suggestions, or anything of that sort.

If you feel the rules have been violated, need a lengthy discussion, or that someone has unrightly called a riddle too soon. Please keep it in pms if at all possible. However, please understand that brief rule discussion and explanations, theories about riddles (lengthy or not), and overall trash talking is encouraged.

All I’m saying is I would like to keep the walls semi-reserved to competition relevance.

PLEASE NOTE: If there is a serious misunderstanding regarding your riddle being called, I am more than willing to spend time helping resolve the issue.

    Peace out ya’ll
