Re: There's more to them
I always thought that he attacks you and not the rogue Pinwheel simply because you disturbed him while the Pinwheel presumably has no interest in entering the fog gate. Based on where we find his buddies, he ventured out, not necessarily in. I like your ideas though. I've always viewed Nito as patient, but possibly not apathetic. As the first of the dead, and probable lord of death, he is probably pretty comfortable that he'll see everyone die at some point.......he just needs to wait.

Re: There's more to them
Exactly. What does he really need to act for? If people are up above actively trying to end the undead curse, there's really no need for him to act.
You could also consider that Nito only attacks the chosen undead in self defense. As the CU is down there for the purpose of attaining his soul at that point, but when the CU comes through the coffin he's aware that their there to worship, or join the GLS's.
Also if you assume that the Pinwheel is in control of the large skeletons, that could be considered more proof that the Pinwheel is either purposely trying to not offend Nito, or is on the same side as Nito, considering that the approach to Nito is peopled with large skeletons. Possibly there to protect him?

Yeah it seems more like a guardian to me. He might be taking some liberties with his freedom but I'm not sure there's reason for straight up animosity.
On a tangent....who thinks that there might a connection between Big Hat and Loganberry drink?

That's funny because I just kicked mother nature in the face earlier today. She was getting uppity.

Re: There's more to them
sorry if someone has posted this, i have tried to follow most of this thread but sometimes i forget about it.
you know jeremias big head thingy? you get a ring o favor and protection for it if you give it to snuggly. could this mean that the "crown" was a gift to him, as a favor? the crown states that no one knows where it came from. could he have gotten it from some god? to ease the suffering from having an "egg" head?

Xanthous Crown - Ring of Favor and Protection
I have used this to
show ties of Xanthous, the Chaos Servants, and Priscilla in before
posts in this thread. I would link it, but it is buried deep. Such favor
and protection has ties to Lautrec as well in possible philosophies,
with such solitude makes it losing all aspects for other, believing in
the love of one being. In this case, it could be Priscilla.
Thats Acidics work on it. It could have been from Pris, showing his connection to her is like Finas connection to Lautrec.

Re: There's more to them
I surmised he commissioned the entire yellow set to draw attention away from something. Could be egg head.....could be something else.
Plastic.....I'm surprised, I know Loganberry is a local thing but didn't think you were too far away to at least have heard of it. It's scary though because it was "invented" in Saratoga Springs and when I was living in Ballston Spa (like 5 minutes away) no one had ever heard of it. Western New York steals food products for the win!

Re: There's more to them
Yup
Since no one has ever heard of it pretty much I assumed it was tied to Big Hat's sorcery. Although Oolacile magic and invisibility seems more appropriate. I guess ice in the drink is like White Dragon Breath.

Re: There's more to them
Yeah, definitely never seen that. I'm positive they don't have it in Oneonta though and I haven't gotten out much since I started going back to school. I kinda live in the library stacks now.

Re: There's more to them
Do you have a Wegman's anywhere near you? They'd have it I bet. Also, an item that started in Michigan and traveled to near here you might not know about in the soft drink world....Vernor's ginger ale. Like a cream soda with ginger. Anyway.......I should probably stop derailing with soft drink lore.
