I dunno my best to be honest. I dunno how fast I've done it.. I always stop off for weapon upgrades etc which adds to my time..

If you want a speed run, you have to rely on elemental weapons, pyromancy, and avoiding the majority of confrontations.

My fastest Time was 4:30 (without glitches) , i had to rely on the Crystal Halberd (I know how to repair it btw lol ) and Chaos Pyromancies .

But i agree with Serious, the time to get "Roadrunner" should be increased greatly .

wait you repaired the crystal halberd?! how the hell you do that?! I mean obviously you can upgrade it, but that still would break by the end of a playthrough... wouldn't it?

You could downgrade it unless it was +5, at least a few patches ago happy

I rather lighting spear instead. I never speed run before but it may be fun to do.

No, down to Crystal Halberd +0 .
I would upgrade it to +3 then to 4 then downgrade it and level it to 4 or 5, that would last for the entire Game iirc .

    I don't know if it's possible anymore though .

We could start it at a specific area instead of at the beginning?

You can Co-op Qeulaag first if you want, what matters is that you kill Gwyn asap without using glitches and the Shortcuts in the Catacombs happy

    Nice idea!

We should bring this up with Grin. Add me on Skype whenever you can get it, and it'll be easier to discuss it there. We're in a group and we'd be happy to let you in!

Might as well. And if Grin agrees to start at Sen's I can use the Cirno build I have.

I was thinking of starting in the Burg like it said in the OP, however as far as the roadrunner title goes I'll edit the requirements for 11 hours.

I will also add everyone that has posted so far to the event list too.

Also, I was thinking about having only one partner for each team. Just to make things fair. However, if no one enters in on the event for the XBOX three days from the event I'll allow it.

    Everyone fine with that?

I am good with that Grin. It would not be much of an issue with me anyway.

Again, if it turns out with only you three being the only ones on the XBOX you can have a three partnered group. Just remember that we still have over two weeks before the event starts, that is still enough time for other people to join.

Grin do you have anything with upgraded weapons at the beginning? I realize I have to make a whole new toon for this as the lowest sl I have still has to clear Blighttown from the depths. So it might be wise to either get a few things or go right into it with base stats.

Not necessarily just start at a low level. If you want to use upgraded equipment that's fine just make sure that boss doesn't die in two hits (except for Pinwheel)when you first take them on.

Also make sure to start at your starting level. You can level up as many times as you want through the playthrough but keep in mind that the max level is 75.

I just want to throw out a bad idea here..

I was thinking, how about we attempt to speedrun on NG+ at a level below sl55? Was thinking it may create something different, but not really sure if it will do anything. I was also thinking this could be an alternate choice for those who think the other speedrun may not be for them.

I'm open for anything, i have enough time to make a NG+ Character ot Res and i could even use our current Co-op Characters (if we get to finish it in time) .

But i think we should stick to NG for now, it broadens our chances to get members .
