Some guy invaded me came charging out of the forest and ran right through like I wasn't even there and back attacked me and killed me one hit. Can some explain what just happened to me?

The BS window doesn't require him to get completely behind you, just past your weapon. If he has enough poise, he can run through your attack and BS you.

I've heard wearing havels and a mask in the forest will on occasion cause you to self-destruct, best avoid that setup

suck it up guys. havels setups are good, it wont stop you from killing them unless you make a mistake. and yeah lag+ an estoc or bandits knife seems most likely. seems like it was really bad too, but thats usually not the case. just have to learn to see half a second ahead to stop that under normal circumstances.

Thats why i dont even bother fighting anymore with guy who charge on me with katana, estoc or whatever.
They just run through my shield up and one hi.. one backstab my 1200hp.
It was like that from lvl 1 to 80 (I didnt finished the game yet
)

But really, you'll just have to gauge how the connection between you two is, then act accordingly and work with the delay. It sucks, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do. Tommy Pickles said that, and I'd say he's a pretty smart Baby. The real question is, are you ready to put on the diaper and PvP?

I like it when they do that. When they are poised out in Havel's armor, then you know their basic strategy, and you can manipulate that. They are predictable and you can exploit that. Roll around a lot, hit them once, at the tip of your weapon, and roll again. Go in for a roll BS when you can.
