No problem, there's no rush with the transfer.

Just record some highlights of choice fights (a montage maybe??) - that should give us an idea of the trials and tribulations you encounter while doing the challenge. My hat off to you sir for accepting this mission Prostration

I assume you mean joining the forest hunter covenant.
Joining up is not really hard. Just make your way to Alvina in the upper Darkroot Forest (preferrably in hollow form so you don't get invaded) and answer "Yes" to all of her questions and your in like flynn cheers . After that find a nice comfy place in Lordran, put the cat ring on (Alvina gives you the ring when you join the cov) and kill as many gankers as possible. Then come back here a tell your war stories.

Welcome comrade - your gonna love being hunter once you become accustomed to the ganks/bangs. Don't mind it at all - just keep invading.

Oh NNNOOOOOOOOOO!! Apparently my capture software crashed just before i killed four kings but i didn't notice it. I know it's not a big deal, but it annoys the **** out of me anyway. It was a great fight.

Well, i will be done soon. Only ceaseless discharge, firesage demon, centipede, boc and gwyn left. I started about 2h 10min ago.

I did it! Final time was about 3h 40min. Unfortunately i can't be entirely sure because of that crash. I swear i spent the last 40 minutes trying to beat gwyn. It's crazy how much PvP can mess up your PvE parries big grin Even the black knights killed me a couple of times and once i got summoned to forest just as i entered gwyn's room. Kiln was a complete disaster but otherwise, i'm satisfied. Although, i got very lucky with the invasions. A lot of 2v2s and 1v1s. A few disconnects too and about two of three times someone else had just killed the host.

It was a lot of fun and i recommend this to everyone who enjoys both PvE and PvP challenges. Everyone who can do this in under 3h, is my hero. Good luck! For the Glory of Alvina.

Fin you are truely one of Alvina's finest warriors. I can't believe you finished a run through of the game in under 4 hours to include being summoned by the mother cat the whole time. Very impressive Proper Bow .

Hey Wulf what weapons configuration are you using in the forest? Are you fast or medium rolling? I will try to hook-up with you later today. Man, I caught this cold going around and I have been down for the count licking my wounds. sad

My goodness Wulf - your poise is crazy high I know that is coming in handy cheers . Your high poise, high defense plus the greatsword and I know gankers are literally killing themselves trying to get a BS on you happy . I am not brave enough yet to try mid-rolling - I really don't want to embarrass myself. But I am going to try mid-rolling combined with halberd /leo ring configuration at some point in the future. Very good build.

How helpful is Force? I'm considering adding it on my Mura build. Is it worth it?

I'm sad that I don't use spells anymore because of this: I used to spam Force when someone would cast TWoP. It also helps to give yourself some room if you get cornered by multiple people.

Reim, if you have the Mura you shouldn't have an issue with getting cornered by TWoP. If someone uses it in the open you can run, and if they don't you should be able to back up to a wall or corner and introduce people to the meaning of stunlock.

Sometimes stunlocking won't work when they have upwards of 100 poise and you have less than 53. Not to mention there may be more than one of them, upping the chances of you getting stunlocked first.

I can see where you're coming from, though. Force is just a good tool if you want to be a bit more versatile.

I'm actually not sure how much poise he has, but IIRC I heard reim saying how it's harder to stack poise while using a weapon like the mura, which it is.

If he is making an FH and not a Darkmoon or Red, he shouldn't have that problem though. Even if he is making a SL 120 specific character, 3 points in some stat will help a lot more than Force against skilled opponents, and as much as I hate to admit it, gankers do gradually get better at the game. They may learn to dodge AoE someday!

*sobs* dont say things like that. next thing you know you will be telling me they will learn not to try the jump attack of the BK weapons 3 times in a row after the first two get punished!
