Re: For the Glory of Alvina
@Infamous - now that was a funny clip. I love British humor - that clip reminded me of the movie Snatch On a serious note bro - you know the forest is being overrun by gankers so when Christmas break comes around you may as well do a marathon gank killing vid session in the forest. You know Alvina must have her pound of flesh .
I have been doing a lot of weapons testing lately - trying to become proficient with weapons I wouldn't normal use. I'm playing around with four flavors (crystal, normal, enchanted, magic) of the great club - that weapon's AoE is ridiculous  . The enchanted and magic versions are very viable in PvP - the magic enhanced AoE is really catching opponents. Putting a strong buff (SLB/DMB) on a crystal +4/+5 version would simply be overkill!!
Onward and upwards people, onward and upwards!!

on a note, I no longer own Kamina Sama - he is in the nether... His data was corrupted pre-dlc... SL360 has turned into SL100 FHing... I still rinse them up though.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
the GC is really strong, with 40 str the 2h roll attack hits like a damn truck and with a buff it will hit for about 1200 or more depending on your opponnent's armor. i like it but i think the LC is an overall better choice because of its move set.

I agree the L. Club is a better weapon at the end of the day mainly due to the LC's moveset. I dueled a DW in the Township this morning - he had a L. Club and I had a G. Club. He was able to get a couple of unanswered hits on me because the LC is faster (less recovery time). I was able to win because of the GC huge AoE from the 2H rolling ground pound - even with some distance and backing away it caught him. It was a good fight - will post in my next batch of vids.

New build for the forest: Opinion of it?
http://mmdks.com/ccn
DSS can be substituted for most weapons - primarily Murakumo/Large Club.
DSS will be used for poking and pyro locking - eg; GCFB hits they stagger eat r1 to continue the stagger on them - I roll in as lava staggers them and then GC to finish - if they're still alive can throw in one extra R1 for good measure.
With LC it will be efficient too - 1h roll attack into GC/BF, then roll again to where they're liable to roll and get them with the roll attack again. Murakumo... Well - GFB Dash Attack, Stunlock. This can apply for GS too - GFB hits (2h and dash attack will stagger them, strafe behind and BS).
Rapier may be substituted for gold tracer etc; possibly a bow/whip sometimes.

If you don't feel uncomfortable with that low HP, then your build looks good. But are you sure you will need 12 fireballs? I would probably remove one great fireball, go with 28 att and put some extra points to vit.
Pyro combos are very nice against gankers. You can do some nice stunlock tricks if they follow you to either of the bridges. Like the ones you explained.

Hey ya'all....I just wanted thoughts and opinions on this build.

Might forest hunt or duel. I think it will be pretty powerful imo.

Where are you planning to duel with that soul level? That's powerful for sure, but i would either make it SL 100-130 build for duels and occasional forest hunting, or even higher level build exclusively for forest hunting. It's up to you though.

Are you still getting plenty of action at the 200 level? Plus never underestimate the power of dried fingers Fin.

Soul level doesn't really matter when forest hunting. I get invasions all the time with my SL 320 hunter.Rudmed wrote:Are you still getting plenty of action at the 200 level? Plus never underestimate the power of dried fingers Fin.
And yeah, sure you can duel with any soul level if you host, but your build was a darkwraith so i assumed you were going to invade.

True, but I can always test as I go. If I don't like it then I'll probaly borrow your build, and go be a red forest hunter....with a giant sword.....YES!

Nice magic dmg output - this build should do pretty good in ye ole forest. As Infamous said don't worry about SL if this toon is going to be a hunter and at SL200 you should get a decent number of invasions as a red menace. I also use the thorn gauntlets (shout out to Wolf for giving me dem mittens )on my SL84 - at lower levels (plus the DWGR nerf) a lot of toons are running around with low poise. When I realize low poise is in effect I just roll into them and hit 'em over the head a couple of times then roll into them again .

Infamous - this is very powerful build indeed. In fact I'm going to invade or host with this weapon configuration to see if I can adapt to it. Plus that BSS is an excellent choice as your melee weapon. My only recommendation is to swap out the +15 BSS (keep it on your toon for emergencies) with a crystal +4/+5 version - BSS are too easy to acquire to not use a crystal version . Just make a stack of +4 then upgrade to repair for even more raw dmg output.

I don't care what anyone says the reinforced club is a beast!!!I really enjoying using this weapon on my SL84 - once again when opponents see it their thinking this dude is mark 8) .Little do they know its a chaos version - then its too late  .I'm having so much fun just smacking and surprisingly stun-locking opponents with it - such a simple yet deadly weapon. I know their thinking when they die "Did I just get killed by a reinforced club!!".

Now that's what I'm talking about - your opponent had one of the best reach weapons in the game and got killed twice by the brutish morningstar. I bet the dude was thinking the whole time you were going to be easy pickings (well at least during the 1st bout)
What is everyone's opinion on the Blacksmith Great Hammer and the Hammer of Vamos? I'm going to start playing around these two weapons next on my SL84.
