Had a lot of fun last night. At one point, Gob's GScythe took 700 HP off with one hit. I kinda died. That'll learn me to be too aggressive.

I am sad that I missed this last night...atleast there's still saturday.

Hey guys, as some of you may know I'm not participating cuz I'm away from home. I'm dying from the withdrawal.

Just wondering where you guys are at now, new location or still at blighttown arena? I was thinking the spot is a little tight for some builds. Ofcourse thats one of the safest places to hold FC, but some styles just don't work there, like bow builds.

As a suggestion, anyone think Sen's fortress might work? Not only the golem area near the entrance, but the golem area at the top of the fortress, the one chucking cannon balls too. And there's Duke's Archives, the room where you first meet Seath, random invaders probably wouldn't look for you there, but if that happens it shouldn't be too much a problem. There's also a nice ledge to watch from.

The problem with these is they're not as close to bonfires. Just a suggestion.

Most is still at Btown but we did some FC up in sens last week.
As a host of course the pit is in a sense more convenient with bonfire right there, but
if you use the bonfire near Andre to get to sens, it is fairly easy.

Yeah Yesuurds got it nailed on the head there. Blighttown has the best location in terms of:

1) It's actually like an arena
2) It's right next to bonfire

There are other places that would be great to do some events (like i said in another thread, FC on the Izalith bridge above the Lava would be epic.), but i think Blighttown should remain as the main area for FC

Would be silly to ban stuff since lots of builds would become useless... except Backstab fishing, sometimes a person deserves a backstab when they are swinging that Zwei like idiots

The rules are in a transitional period as of a few days ago. At the moment we are nominating for a leader of FC who will set the rules that will be the final end all and be all. Most likely it will be rant, but we'll see at the end of the process i suppose.

I hosted yesterday so others can play. I can host to. Around 1.30 or 2 am my time. If there many players everybody gets summoned faster

What's the plan for Fight Club this weekend? Back in the pit in Blight town? I can't usually make it to FC other than on the weekends because of time zone differences. When everyone else is at FC during the week I'm at work procrastinating and reading the Wiki instead of working.

Saturday Fight Club (9pm) is at 11am Sunday for me. So I can go out on a Saturday night and wake up hungover for some Dark Souls action. Often why I'm relatively happy hosting cause I'm still groggy from the night before. Because of the need for more hosts at Sen's last week I don't have a toon that can host at Blight town anymore.

You must be exhausted at work if you only get that much sleep on Saturday night! If I don't get enough sleep before work I'm just a zombie that stares at my computer screen pretending to work.

I own a restaurant. I work from 11.30 am till 01am everyday exept wednesday. So i do live at night. Mostly i go sleeping at 4,5am but now since FC 6am so...

I know how you feel about being addicted. I've been a gamer for years (thanks to Mildred getting a commodore 64 when we were younger) and don't think I've put this much time into a single game. Maybe spent around 250 hours on Demon's Souls and now I'm sure over 400 hours on Dark Souls. Just when I was starting to reduce my play time on Dark Souls Mildred tells me about Fight Club. Maybe it is a good thing that I can't make it to FC during the week or I wouldn't get anything else played or done.

Maybe someone can catch me up on this fightclub thing. When does it take place? There is 40 pages of posts here and I'm not sure I have the time to pilfer through them all to find out when the next one is.

Anyone feeling generous enough to point me to the correct posts or letting me know what and when it is so I can get prepared?

Fight Club is normally held in the Blight Town pit with the chest that contains the dragon scale (near the second bonfire). Max Soul level is 120 and is normally held on Saturdays at 9pm EST. Place a red sign down on the broken bars close to where you enter the arena and one of the designated hosts will summon you into there world. You fight other red phantoms that the host summons. Bow to your opponent and allow one buff before starting. The fights are honourable with so no cheap tactics. Currently nominations are being placed to determine el presidente of Fight Club so definitive rules will be established soon.

We normally have a PS3 group chat going during Fight Club. Ask one of the regulars on here during fight club to invite you. If I'm hosting I'll keep an eye out for your PSN. Some of the regulars do Fight Club during the week as well so keep an eye out for people asking for duels.

Awesome! This sounds fantastic. I'm gonna try my best to make it this saturday. Is this a sl120 thing? You specifically mention one buff before the fight. But are you limited to one? As in, if I can manage to get a second one off during the fight, am I allowed?

Yep SL120. One buff is allowed before the fight and lots of people pop a green blossom as well. You are more than welcome to try and buff during the fight, but it is up to the opposition whether or not they want to punish you for it. The arena is not that large so it is pretty hard to get away with buffing during the fight, but I've seen it done well. Currently, there is a soft no backstab rule, but some may think it is fair game to backstab if you attempt to buff during the fight
