by Nimidar Fri Apr 06, 2012 5:57 amI found an occult club in anor londo and i just finished anor londo and painted world so i was aiming for the catacombs now. Can the occult club be used the same way as a divine weapon to kill the skellies or does it have to be divine?

it has to be divine. you can just go to a smith a downgrade it to 5+ divine so the catacombs will be easy.

Actually, if you have the Dex, Silver Knight spears deal divine damage, so you can use one of them.

or he could just pick up astoras straight sword from the dragon valley(if he has 14 faith). i use the silver knight spear on a lot of my toons but farming for it takes some time, it would be faster to just downgrade the club

i've got 29 dex. 16 str. Perhaps i would be better of farming for the spear =) thats anor londo silver knights i assume? ive been farming souls there alot but never got the spear

He can use the spear, I am the winner! In your face...Oh wait, we're supposed to be helping a person through dark souls not competing...

EDIT: Silver Knights can drop, Silver Knight Sword, Silver Knight Shield, Silver Knight Spear. Spears of course only drop from spear Knights, and Swords drop from sword knights. Any with a Dragonslayer bow can also drop just the arrows.

objective complete! Second spear wielding silver knight dropped it and its now upgraded to +5 =)

Awww......I was gonna suggest you do what I did since I ignored the NPCs who tried to help me in NG. I ran as fast as I could to necromancers, killed them and prayed that the mobs of skeletons chasing me were all a lot nicer than they looked. I was hoping for cupcakes. A scimitar to the face is sadly not as good but more realistic
