yes its still worth playing
although personally i play the game just to look a my blueblood sword again because of how beautifull it is in my opinion
the servers are still online but only a few play it due to dark souls

Demon's Souls online play is pretty inactive these days. Tried it out recently with a low-level toon. Rarely do you get summoned or invaded.

Yes play it. I still play on a regular basis with my meatcleaver pure mage build. Scares the bajeezes out of people when they rush me and find a meat cleaver stuck nicely in the middle of their skull:twisted:

demons souls is one of the best games i ever played although i suffered to much because its too hard
i still play it , actually i got dark souls ,demons souls 1 week a go and i started with demons soul

It's a really good game, and there still is plenty of co-op for me. I made a level 65. I invade like crazy now, but I could always get a phantom.

Were you the one who messaged lol GF after you won and I never attacked? Because I was loosing on purpose to get colorless demon's souls for my adjudicator shield and DBS

Even with Dark Souls i still play a lot Demon's Soul - great fucking game (gotta love weapons like meat cleaver). I was playing last night. (mini break from DS).

Like others have stated, this game is pretty much a must play if you liked Dark Souls. Though, they are really different games, even if they share a lot of similarities game play wise, since Demon's Souls is more of a horror atmosphere that loves to utilize cramped and confined areas where the slightest misstep can spell your death.
I love it, and its the reason I got a PS3. Easily one of my favorite games ever along with Dark Souls.

Demon's Souls is a fantastic game, imo superior to dark as its a more focused and polished approach. The online component was perfectly integrated but I am unsure as to whether the NA/EU communities are still active. The Asian servers are alive and well, you can get co-op and PVP at pretty much any level

The American servers are still going, but not as many people are playing. I'll see a Soul Sign for co-op here and there, but I can't remember the last time I was invaded (probably back in August/September). Obviously, there was a long hiatus due to Dark Souls, but since I picked up Demon's again, the online play is still there, just fewer and further between.
It may be difficult to arrange, but I'd recommend going through it with a friend if you want some serious online play. Due the servers being regional, as long as you know where their Souls Sign is, it will appear pretty much instantaneously. Way easier than in Dark Souls!
