Sunbro Covenant

If I were to make a sunbro covenant, would you join it? And if you would don't be afraid to throw a few ideas out for a theme or name. Ive already came up with one.

The Guardians of Lordran

Sunlight Ninja:
Gear - Shadow Gear
Weapon - Any Katana
Playstyle - Keep to the shadows, while insuring the safety of your host. Small, at most moderate health range, large stamina, high dex, Flip ring, Fog Ring, Ring of silence, Ninja stuff etc.

Solar Samurai:
Gear - Shiva Gear, Giant gear, Ornstien gear.
Weapon - Murakumo or any large curved sword, but large weapons are just as fine.
Playstyle - Your host's life is more important, and you will do anything to save it. Large Heath range, Large stamina, Large Strength.

Lunar Rogue:
Gear - Any
Weapon - Any
Playstyle - The moon is it's own, but always answer's to the sun, Eliminate the enemy's of our holy sun. (Darkmoon)

Astorian Knight:
Gear - Elite Knight
Weapon - Any Short sword/Astorian Shields
Playstyle - Keep your honour and fight for the sunlight! Try and keep a medium roll, try not to backstab very often, Medium ranged Health, Good pool of stamina, Balanced str and dex.

Nova Archer:
Gear - Heavy
Weapon - Dragonslayer Bow
Playstyle - Shoot the crap out of them, nuff said.

Ranger of the Flame:
Gear - Light
Weapon - Any small bow.
Playstyle - Be swift and silent, take out your host's foes with mercy.

The Spectral Warrior
Gear - Medium
Weapon - Short Sword
Playstyle - Fight in honour of the sun, and claim victory for your covenant.

This is just an idea, mind you. Please tell me what you think and if I should make some sort of sunbro covenant, and if you like my idea tell me what to fix! I know there are alot of conflicts in a thing like this like armour restrictions, but thats what makes it fun! ^_^

I see a wide mix of ideas here- ninjas, samurai, archers, knights..

It seems a little random and unfocused- could you shape lore out of this?

I would join certainly, however maybe refine your ideas a bit, make your initial idea make a bit more sense, make it more defined.

Yeah it was mostly going to be about ninjas, then I thought. "How many ninjas covenants have actually been successful" I didnt want to abandon the ninjas so I just built on. But yes you are right, if im going to make a dictatorship when it comes to armour, I damn well better have some lore, and I might even ditch the armour restrictions.

Like I said it was an idea.

I wanted to do something like dough's but, something different in it's own way. Does that make sense?

I think having ninjas would be cool, but perhaps as sub classes (I'm gonna get my creative groove on here)

Bushido/ninjutsu faction- samurai (heavy curved sword users, tank class), ninja (light fast class)- shiva and bodyguard cosplay for commanders

Archer faction- great archer (heavy armour, greatbow), light ranger (lighter bows, crossbow) - gough or Pharis cosplay for commanders

Knight faction- most diverse, your 'accessibility faction' focusing on sword and shield, heavy weapon or spear and shield users- cosplays of ornstein, artorias, smough and solaire for commanders

Miracle user faction- shield and mace type weapon (maybe battle axe too?)- use lots of miracles, cosplays of WoW crew for commanders

This is just a quick set of ideas to try show you a possible option- obviously lore wise a comment on diversity etc would be required

I encourage... creative... grooves... but we still need to find a way to weave it into lore. Perhaps the samurai/ninja guys are our allies from the east? Or something? Sorry my mind is in two places, im also invading in the forest right now. 4 wins - 0 deaths for the day!

Perhaps, if I didn't have to write any lore for my character or really pay attention to it. I like to cosplay and do Co-Op so I'm up for various kinds, but like Serious mentioned them being focused would help a lot.

I might even do some things like realistic Medieval Soldiers. Something like Heavy Leather Gloves, Cleric Helm, chain mail legs, and knight chest piece, sort of mixes like that and such.

Okay I'm just gonna steal directly from the NK lore here:

Just do it as different country/continent/discipline factions, where people are from or the path they chose to train in.

We could be an army, a collection of warriors to aid others in the struggle against lordran and it's dangers. The style may be different- but we all shine the same radiant light while we vanquish our foes- and look damn good while doing it

You see I WAS going to do that, And still might, but wanted to be a bit more original instead of just Copy and Pasting from Dough's old thread. But we could do something very similar to it!

Yeah to be fair it will be different as dough was very focused on knight ish ways- this is more focused on diversity.

In my opinion having a cov with a range of types of people suits the sunbros- they're meant to be a wide appeal covenant, they just help people and kickass- irrelevant of their methods. It's what the sunbros are about; everybody coming together.

The style is a homage almost to dough, but the execution would be vitally different

Hell the way this looks to be setting up, you could run intracov events for bragging rights between the factions

Alright so what I was thinking, is what Serious said, We need diversity from all different DkS countries with Astoran, Carim, East, Etc. But what will our lore be? Will we just be one massive group with different semi-leaders for different factions, and each faction will watch over certain areas of Lordran, and them all come together in time of war? Omg im a genius.

Lol that sounds pretty decent to be fair.. That way as well it leaves those who would become the leaders for separate factions could pretty much become responsible for their own lore

You could take a page out of the Men in Tights book.

We had no ranks, everyone was equal. It was very Round Table like.

However I feel the word knights should be attributed only to the specific faction- warriors? Champions? Badasses?

haha well the remnants of the knights had to go somewhere.

Ninjas would guard the following:
Dark root forest/basin
Oolacile
Anor Londo

Archers would guard the following:
The Archives
Ye Ol' Kiln
Anor Londo

Knights would guard the following:
The Tombs of the Giants
Anor Londo
Undead Burg

Priest:
The Catacombs
Undead Parish
Anor Londo

(They all guard Anor Londo because It will probably be our base)
