Dat Dark Bead...

The Crown of Dusk and the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring make Dark Bead hurt ALOT, a good in-your-face cast from the Crystallization Catalyst is more than enough to lay waste on bosses, other players, etc.

Can you suggest some things that will make Dark Bead hurt even more?

Power Within and Red Tearstone Ring, also Manus Catalyst, provided you have the Strength to back it up.

Add a lot of points into int, and have the strongest catalyst. I really don't have much else to add to this.

I have 50 intelligence and it seems the Crystallization Catalyst has higher magic adjustment than the Manus catalyst, I may be wrong so I'll look again.

I never knew the Red Tearstone ring and Power Within boosted the strength of sorceries.

Yes. You can get some amusingly obnoxious results stacking bellowing, dusk, PW, and red tearstone. Things like full-connected beads or fire tempest will 1-shot pretty much anybody.

The grave flaw is that once you know how to dodge dark bead, it is ineffective. That and the crest shield or a good anti-magic shield and add Great magic shield of course.

I don't think roar boosts sorcery damage. Doesn't boost black flame damage in any case.

Wonders how you do a dragon roar with a dusk crown on? Hax? Or am I missing something about how the dragon body works? Please explain my lack of understanding.

Roars only boost the damage of physical attacks, so although it will show that the Catalyst's AR has increased, that's only for the melee attack. Magic doesn't receive the extra damage from the roar.

Not really. If you want it to do large amount damage just get hit by a few at a medium range to close range.

They'll recover by the time you get the hit, but I guess you could get the extra damage if your phantom kicked and you used it right afterwords. Although at that much damage a kick or not is going to OHKO, you wouldn't even need the Channeler buff.

If you want minimal investment into magic you can use stone sword TWOP + boosted flame tempest (PW,, Bellowing, Dusk). While technically not as much damage, I'm pretty sure that will one shot virtually every legit build in existence. In fact just bellowing + dusk is usually enough for a tempest to OHKO somebody. People forget how powerful it is because of how easy it (usually) is to dodge it, but it's easily my favorite cheap-shot on gankers to put my back to a wall and poise cast it. You get a lot of cheap kills that way.
