I use crown of dusk, bellowing ring, power within, crystal catalyst and 50 int on my SL55 and cast pursuers first for ultimate carnage.

Dragon Roar DOES NOT increase ANY magic damage with the exception of weapon ATTACKS doing more damage. I know this for a fact as I've tested it before and anyone else who has used a Dragon Roar build for awhile can back me up on that. It only increases weapon ATTACK, and although it may increase the AR on a Catalyst, Talisman, and Pyro Flame, these are for the R2s and L2s of that weapon, it has NO EFFECT on the Castings.

I wonder how much you could do with ~40 int + power within + dragon roar with an ascended pyromancy glove +5 R2

tested with manus cat./tin cat. and dark magic? dragon roar should work on the phys. portion of the spell

The Physical portion is still from a magic attack, so it does not increase the damage. It will only increase physical ATTACKS, and Dark Bead is a magic attack.

but dark bead gets a dmg boost from the phys. AR of the cataclyst it's casted with, and that should be buffed by dragon roar...

That physical damage still depends on the Magic Adjustment, not the actual physical strength of the catalyst. For the record, I just tested this: Without dragon's roar, I did 261 damage. With the dragon's roar, I did 261 damage. Dragon's roar does not affect magic, even if it's physical magic.
