For PvE I would say whatever you think looks more interesting and fun.
For PvP I would say faith, because you can't hit anyone with projectile magic. Faith has WoG, but sorcery doesn't have any AoE spells. Also, DMB is stronger than CMW. However, this is my opinion, and the choice depends on how you want your character.
People may complain about the Dark Sorceries, but they can be dodged as easily as any other magic.

I don't want to use buffs unless iitts on a mid roll char, infact with that being said I'm going to make a crys magic wep using crystal knight build.
