I was doing some fighting in the PW this evening (invading and hosting) to crash the Lifehunter event, though with my SL70 Heracles cosplay rather than my 55. I was in the Hollow Soldier Waistcloth and Iron Bracelets with the Great Club, and I was doing pretty well. My roommate was watching me play, having not played Dark Souls before, and he said "It must be so insulting to the people you invade, to just go into their world buck naked and completely trash their heavily armored knights with a stick". I thought that was so funny I had to share with you guys, and it made me think how rare it is to see an invader willingly cripple himself and still win all of the time. (That's not to say I wasn't completely merciless though).

I tried to disrupt the mass invasion too, but mainly failed. I only got Rin. But, I did manage to get a steady stream of gankers to add to my block list.

So, uh, I've been browsing around the covenants thread because I really haven't looked in here before and I was thinking about joining.

I'm somewhat of a mediocre player when it comes to PVP and have won only about 10 matches.

So I'm just here to ask if I should get a bit better before joining The Darkstalkers.

Well any one of us can help you by sparring. Personally you'd probably wanna spar with Amos or Glatts, since they're amazing. I'm alright, I can run circles around people with my scythe, but you'd want to learn how to deal with aggressors not looking to duel.
