Best weapons against bows?

Some of you may disagree with me, but bows are one of the most annoying weapons to fight against. So in my experiences as a bow user, I would say crossbows are the best weapon against them. Crossbows fire faster than bows, although they reload slowly, they act as a psychological weapon in terms of who's gonna stop the annoyance first.

The same happens with spears, you use a bow to cause this effect. You keep shooting at them till they surrender and switch to another weapon. This might not be always the case against those who use spears as a primary weapon and have no back up. We really don't see many players with a bow as a primary weapon, but if that's the case, consider having a crossbow or a bow as back up. Also it seems rolling trust attacks work very nice against bows, so rapiers could also be a very good weapon to try against them. What do you do when fighting against a bow?

Really not trying to be sarcastic, but shields. Any bow user ive encountered i treat like a magic user, shield up and close distance. Get close and punish. Not always easy to stay close, but, thats what the shield is for

Shields aren't very effective for poison arrows though (well, maybe the spider shield). Strafing is very effective, albeit boring as hell.

Well I use the blood shield alot...so I dont think about the poison too much. That and even if I get poisoned, Im aggressive enough that it doesnt do enough damage to effect the fight, as Im pressing the action alot.

Bows like the Composite Bow are fast. Against weapons, like the bkga, you could
shoot-off an arrow, from JUST outside its range (as it's swinging), and have time,
to then dodge away.
Against a crossbow, a bow user, could simply close the distance (which crossbows
rely upon), and if, they tried to shoot at you, roll-through, and back-stab them..

Against a bow, I usually use a bow (if I have one), aiming to dodge, and shoot
between their attacks. Either that, or I'll close the distance, and roll-in for a
back-stab (so as to avoid, any bait & switch, they may be attempting).

I don't use shields so I run away from bow users like the little girl I am.


That or no lock running attacks... Kinda run in a half circle.

Well bows definitely get on my nerves because it seems like no mater what I do they always win. I usually run at them with a shield up and fish for a backstab lol. Although I don't like fishing, against a bow user it's the easiest way to take them out and not have to worry about getting slaughtered. Or I have found the Dragon Greatsword extremely effective against them (it's 2H R2).

I hate when they don't bow

Just kidding, I've never had a problem with Bows, but when you use the Greatshield of Artorias, there's not much they can do about you, pull out the Rapier and win, or just attack relentlessly, however, I do now see that the faster Bows are pretty good, just nothing I would pee my pants over.
