When I did mine at 5 I used havels armor with his ring an iron flesh. When u use iron flesh u can't move fast anyways so just have his armor on. An start chopping away. I always had the flame kindled to 20 estus an plus 3.

I'm doing this with estus +1 and standard 10 estus in firelink. I don't have rite and also I'm trying without havel, with only dodges right now. Hard but I will manage ^^

Woah Finally I managed XDDD After F**** 1,5 day!! I'm playing since yesterday trying to do it and I slept only few hours xD But I did, it was hard!!! 10 flasks +1 and dodges, no havel and no iron flesh, although I added 2 lvls to attunement from warrior lvl 4 to have it. But I didn't use it anyway. What I did use was my good headphones with 4hz+ sounds from some orgasmic dubstep music and a little bit of weed ^^ Win guaranteed.

Congratulations! I just started a new character today and thought about not leveling her up, but fighting the darkwraiths with base stats. . . I don't know if I'm equal to that.
Also, I went human to kindle the fire and promptly got invaded by Smough with a lightning axe and fire surge. I hope he was proud of his ability to kill a level 3 with starter gear.
