No because when you want to look like a hero only steel plate suffices!

Heroic you say...
Guess that rules out the Nightingale Armour.
Then, perhaps Akaviri?

My Ranger of the (whatever area is near Markarth) wore that.. To me its more like the Batman armour of skyrim and you know that he is more of a grey hero than a straight up knightly figure of justice.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Nightengales based off their roles I'd put them more in with a clan of Crusader Knights like the Templar in purpose than Batman.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
I dont see them as such. More like clandestine agents of a god no body knows about.
And I wasnt aware you could make skyforge steel plate.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Outside of "No one knows about," that is the description of a crusader. They work as a zealous agent of their god until death. They are similar to any sort of religious order's military.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Almost like a cross between an assassin, a ranger, and knight.
Still can't complete the quest, enjoy the armour's benefits though.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Ah templar as always I see. I tend towards paladin styles myself. I use mainly melee but I also use Restoration and Alteration to augment my combat.
I don't level pickpocket. Too much effort and my typical character is a rather good morality and relatively law abiding citizen.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Ah thats what it was.
My last Skyrim character was the Ranger of Falkreath! He had a sweet back story dating back to the war with the Thalmor (though it was his ancestors who fought there)

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Why would you need to level up lockpicking? The Thieve's Guild questline grants you an unbreakable lockpick and, that aside, most chests are very easy to pick at even the base level of lockpicking. A waste of a stat, IMO.
For Magicks, I like the Restoration and Conjuration schools the best.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Let's just say a skill where you have a 70% chance of having to reload every twenty seconds is *** awful, and Bethesda should be ashamed for making such a terrible mechanic.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
No I never perk Lockpicking, or use the master key. I just naturally pick locks, it's incredibly easy to do anyway. Even with a Master lock you can easily pick it with only breaking one or two.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
I level it up through the course of the game, but I just never take anyof the perks. Pretty much if I find a lock in game, I pick it. That's it, I just pick it and get what I want. They should have definitely made it more difficult so that I could be restricted without perks.

The whole game is oversimplified imo. Trying to draw the casual crowd.
