Taking my 380 to the Forest tonight. There is not a build out there that is more versatile or significantly more powerful than this one. It'll allow me to test various weapons, and see what kind of BS damage a DGA does.

    Here are my stats: http://tinyurl.com/8xa5tdx

I have 3 of every spell, pyro, and miracle. But, the main ones are 3 CMW, 3 SLB, 3 GCs, and 3 WoGs.

    Top that. twisted

Ok, sorry for the double post.

This 380 is awesome. Sure, the gankers are everywhere, but it is more often 2 vs 1.

I can tell you that a DGA + CMW + Hornet Ring will OHK everyone on riposte, and does over 2,000 damage on BS (which will OHK most everyone).

Riposting a ganker while wearing a HR is one of the most satisfying PvP experiences to date.

For some reason, the gankers don't seem to be as good as when I was at the 120ish. Maybe it's just me.

Hey, I have a very good use of TWoP. If you invade while there is another FH, get close to the party and cast it. You will force the gankers either to get in the AoE of the miracle or to run away, while the other FH can make the most of it by healing himself, rebuffing and starting a much more legit 2v2.

nsane32 wrote:ive started to head towards the water fall and fighting them on the first cliff edge cant tell you how many of them have flipped to their deaths lol!

Hahah yes. Force/WotG at the bottom of the ladder is nice. A lot of gankers just fall trying to get to your position. The ones that do not are easily dispatched with any AoE (if you use are at the bottom of the ladder, they will have to jump: they will either die or get injured without being able to cancel the fall animation, because rolling is death there).

reim0027 wrote:Last night was fun in the forest, mostly. I'm winning about 1/4 to 1/3 of the fights (not too good, I know). But, many of my forest covenant invaders failed too. So, when we are both there, we split up the host and his phantom. Too many times, I got BS by the phantom while fighting the host.

Still got to learn the fine art of fighting 3 vs 1 ganking fest. Completely different type of PvP than I'm used to.

Hm... If you are good at parrying, or you think you can stun them, try to use the bridges. In fact, a common tactic is to hide behind a corner and, when they come for you, dead-angling them.
    _____________

Edit: nice hunt, my brother 👽. 120 gankers could be better if they where duelist. I mean, they can be some PvPers from the Kiln, the Undeadwhatever, Anor Londo... Higher SL is, in a lot of occasions, people who only host (gank) in the forest.

I racked up 20 wins last night. There wasn't any host I couldn't beat. There were a couple hosts who didn't learn their lesson. Most of them spammed R1. Therefore, many of them got parried. When I reinvaded, what did they do? Spam R1. What happened? They got parried. Look Skyward

I have only met one really skilled ganker. He parried me twice, then he dead angled me. I was really surprised silly

Hey Reim please do a dmg test for me but at +15 anyways with 50 strength a great club should have a very similar rpstl/BS dmg as a DGA with the DGA being higher of course but not by much....but the great club also weighs 12 pounds and the DGA is 22 or 24 or whatever...so I always go GC for the highst Critical dmg it should also beat a rapier even tho I love may rapiers lol

Also a buffed GC roll attack will do like 900-1100 dmg and its a easy way to break a herd up then OHKO any one of them after twisted

Ghadis_God wrote:I always wait my turn in the forest, yeah, and I also buff the BSS with CMW, it's pretty damn effective. Havel's is a great set because it takes three GS hits to stunlock when you're wearing the full set, which can be a real edge. I think you might have been the DW but I'm not sure. I'll check my players met list when I get online.

Lol ya for sure it takes 3 GS hits to stagger full havels 121 or 120 poise...I have killed so many GS guys with my CMW buffed BSS...they see its a small sword and think they can come in and stunlock me....by they time they finish there 2nd swing let alone start there 3rd they are all dead lol!!

My 225 has 2 casts of SLB and CMW with 50 INT...ill burn through them all on my BSS then switch to and ENC claymore and BK chest plate for like 91 poise lol!

Ya Reim try a chaos GC vs chaos DGA and rapier....I'm sure you'll find the chaos GC isn't to far off the DGA with half the weight and better moveset!

I dunno maybe u just like my club silly

    GC +15 - 1H BS + HR: 1480
    GC Chaos - 1H BS + HR: 1385

    DGA +15 - 1H BS + HR: 1485
    DGA Chaos - 1H BS: 1285

    Rapier +15 - 1H BS + HR: 1185
    Rapier Chaos - 1H BS + HR: 1085

So, it looks like it is a wash between GC and DGA. GC it is then, better moveset, lighter (but I have 99 End, so that doesn't matter too much).

Ya I always buff and use the +15 GC and hornets if I am vading gankers...pretty sure I tried both DGA and GC and found the GC did basically the same dmg as the DGA and half the weight so to me its the better choice!!

Lol for sure it wouldn't be the 1st time I saw you rocking the hollow warrior pants either

For real tho when I go mostly naked I swear it works in my favour...the gankers are like look at this fool he's half naked let's get him...they all rush me at once...bang just pivot BS'd the sunbro for a ohko...then they will keep rushing you tho which is soooooooo funny because its so easy if your backing up to stop and sprint into them for a pivot BS....its like you gain the frames or data and you will always get the BS everytime twisted

Nothing feels better than seeing that +3 next to your covenant title. Sounds like you're reeeeeal close Reim.

On a sidenote I jumped back into the forest the last two nights between projects. Two nights ago was hosting for Darkwraiths to practice some dueling. Had a repeat invader who insisted on Lloyd's talismans although I never broke out Estus. That is until he used a humanity. Then I got him to use a bunch more before the fight ended. Sadly I got a little too brave and lost but he used about a half dozen little sprites first.......Keh heh heh heh. Found a guy in Dragon Form backstabbing a red. I think "YAY" probably going to see my first glitcher. He actually dueled and was way less aggressive with me than with the red. Turns out he was curious to see the Great Scythe Performance. No poise meant he got to see it in the end with little chance of escape but he offered to duel which was cool. Didn't work, kept getting invaded before we could connect but making friends is good.

Last but certainly not least I may have found a new weapon to play with. As usual, it's a very unpopular choice but messing around with it in the Burg I noticed a couple things that struck me as VERY odd, suggesting there might be some hidden buff or use on the thing. Too early to tell as when I tried to PvP test the damn thing last night I could get one....single.....freakin'.....connection. WTF.......maybe tonight.
