I have not tried spreading misery there often ,

but cursing The catacombs worked best for me while being in the NG SL range,

I think I was SL50 when I attrackted multiple SoVs in a few hours, but at SL120 it were almost all DarkWraiths.

You have to be lucky with the traffic , especially in the catacombs , and a lot of people take major shortcuts to reach Pinwheel in 5 minutes because they just want to pass through

The Duke's Archives are usually really slow too

Makes sense about Duke's being slow. If most people are like me they
probably just wanna get in and get the hell out! That's a shame though
because I imagine BP crystal hollows would be a royal PAIN!!!

And
back to the catacombs I had a decent string of invasions today as a DM
with my currently SL70 (soon to be 120) FC toon. So maybe if I hang out
at SL60 I'll have some luck.

I started my GL toon today. I have to work the next 2 days so I'm gonna
try to get back on later tonight and make the suicide run to Nito with
my SL 7 warrior! Once I get into the covenant I will be getting in
touch with Viral.

I would have liked to go with the Effigy shield just because I like the
looks of it, but of course if I want to curse the catacombs I can't go
to ToG to get the thing!

I'm trying to cook up some lore as well...thinking she might be some
long lost relative of the venerable Tarkus...perhaps one with a grudge!

There aren't any BP hollows.

There are, I think, 3 BP Channelers, a couple of BP Picasas and some BP Crystal Golems. You might not even notice that you're Gravelorded in Duke's since most of the BP's are off the main path.

3 crystal golems, two picasas, and three channelers; Unless you get infected near the prison, you won;t see the flawed and the poachers, just the giants.

Eh, a lost opportunity there if you ask me!

And nevermind about the effigy shield. I just noticed the faith requirement!

BTW I got my new toon into the GLs, but wasn't able to take screenshots & all that cuz we had a really bad storm roll in! One thing I found annoying is that the suicide run to Nito took me at least three times as many tries with my Sl7 warrior as it did the other day with my sl1 pyro! Had some serious rage goin on!!!

I think your SL60 build is looking good & pretty strong for that bracket.

You look the part , Poise is taken care of & you got the fast Uchi to compliment and backup the slower GraveLord Sword.

If you wish to use your shield for parrying I wouldn't recommend the Effigy Shield over the grass crest because it's startup-frames are much slower , but it looks awesome

The intention is to keep him at SL 1 and just see how far I can get. So far I haven't BB'ed any on ps3 (think I may try to resist the urge) so he has unupgraded starting gear. Probably won't do much with him for awhile, at least till I have my 120 FC and sl60 GL toons finished!

BB'n is great for quickly manufacturing a new PvP build, or quickly remaking a flawed one. But its always good to make a few characters fresh and new!

I really hope it doesn't get patched man ,

having to put in 10 or more hours of pure PvE rushing just to test out a build would be terrible :| .

Nowadays I only enjoy PvE if I do a strange weapon combination or a challenge run.

But I hardly ever do PvE anymore.,

Ive played the campaign for +- 600 hours & PvPed for 600 hours for sure.,

@Ziko Well I just checked my schedule (I work every other weekend) and I am off the 21st, so sign me up! I will shift priorities a bit & try to have some decent equipment by then. I welcome any help any of you can offer!

EDIT: Since we'll be cursing the burg I feel I should clarify...by "decent Burg equipment" I mean something like a +5 weapon for legit sov's/invaders, plus something better I can switch to when the inevitable ninja flipping, lightning wielding giant shows his ugly face!



@Fed Yea I know, I BB'ed several toons on Xbox, so I have no moral objection to it unless its used for griefing low level noobs. My first character/build on ps3 hasn't even completed the game & gotten everything, so there's no real point in glitching yet! I'm thinking I'm gonna try to at least do my first few builds from scratch, but we'll see.

Apologies...Im heading over there right now to sign up. Sounds like a hell of a good time! Maybe I'll get to see some BPs myself. Only seen them 3 or 4 times in Burg, once in Parish, and I encountered the dreaded BP skele-dogs once! Haven't seen ANY in the 2-3 weeks I've been on psn.

Ive never seen BPs before I was a gravelord ., it's the strangest thing .,

because now , in the past few months , Ive seen BP skellie Dogs , BP Burg & Parish , BP Depths , BP Btown , BP Forest & BP Painted World, all @ SL120 on XBL

I suppose it's the ''laws of attraction'' in effect

Now that you mention it, I think every time I saw them I was in the GL covenant. The times in the burg & parish there was another GL present cuz I invaded thru his sign a few times. The one time I saw skeledogs I put my white sign down while my EoD was active. Got summoned, left the second bonfire and "OMG WTF??!!??" Definitely an unforgettable experience!

A neat little trick you can do is get a friend and have them summon you through WSS, that way you know you're connected. Then BC out and activate an eye and replace your WSS. Then have them summon you again, now your friend should be cursed and you guys can coop through BPs.

Good idea, but they can drop RSS with a dead boss. So you let them host, and if they win too much you activate the EoD.

i did it to a friend a few days ago when we were duelling close to the pool at the stone giants area.,

I was almost certain he would get BP's if I dropped an EoD & I was hoping that he was texting me at that moment...which he was., just like in Peeve's Clip

He killed me by the way so he was back at the exact same spot :evil:
