Glitch in burg needs to be patched

Yesterday when i was pvping in the burg out of like 15 fights or so 5 of my opponants ran away to perform a glitch to get out of the mapi recorded the glitch earlier today to shw you guys what to expect and hopefully it gets patched aswell.

Idk if its a glitch, and idk if its near the top of the patch list. Bb gets first priority, ya know?

Ps. I have never had problems with this "glitch."

Sorry, but I love that glitch. why cant you just follow them? or kill them during the vast amount of time that leaves you vulnerable (ladder climbing turning to jump ect)

its a damn nusense when im just trying to pvp with peeps and now sometimes they just come in to run away to the glitch its retarded. sure i can follow them and jump on down after them to face them along with 6 hollowed ninjas and 3 dogs. I can understand that people like it for pve for a faster way down and im cool with that but invaders retreating over there? :/

Although now that i think about it, host players then would be jumping down there to let invaders come and go for whatever reason, but it woud be cool to summon phantoms in the burg then jump the wall and kill the boss down there lmao

I don't think you can show in these forums how to do things like that. Keep in mind that showing this video will raise the number of people doing it, so think twice next time.

Also, though I didn't know of this method, there is an similar method to do the same thing (get of the map to another area, unreacheable because of fog doors), in Darkroot Forest. So it's not all that new, also who would ever run there to wait? They would just:

1) Be there for PvP, thus not doing stupid things like that.

2) He is a coward, so when he starts losing he will do that, and then disconnect.

3) It's a patient coward, so he retreats there and waits for you to go down, best thing you can do is either:

• a) Disconnect yourself/Blackcrystal-out if you're an invader.
  
• b) Play the "who can last longer" game, which is time consuming and not fun.
  

You can always drop there and try to kill him but I see you don't want to do that.

Could you summon 2 phantoms in teh upper burg, get invaded by 2 BPs and a DM, then jump down and summon more people for a massive battle?

How is this any worse than folks just disconnecting?

I see alot of people talking about peeps d/cing but im going to be honest i have never seen anybody d/c ever mid battle. But you guys probably experience this when your invading as well which i almost never do.

Like i said I mainly made this vid with the wikidot in mind and at the same time try to get it out there (kinda defeats both purposes) like i want to get it out there that it should be fixed yet i dont want more people doing it. Since theres a million and 1 well known big problems in dks that have been there since the last forever and there still not patched i guess i failed at doing both of these things. But meh at least i tried right?

I'll readily admit that if I'm doing some PvE, I'll d/c as soon as I get the invasion message. I don't have time to deal with that nonsense. I'd never do it mid-battle, though.

There are so many shortcuts in the game, I just don't see what the big deal is with this one. It's not like if someone bails or d/c's you were going to get satisfying PvP anyway.

i really dont mind people doing this in pve (not like they cant just use master key and just go straight to btown) but if this really does catch on and peeps just run straight to that area then the burg is screwed till its patched.

Its not going to catch on! the only people who do this were not looking for a proper match in the first place. above that if you are really worried about it, wait for matches at the top of the ladder for your matches then walk to them keeping yourself between you and the jump. and even if they do manage to get down there a small amount of magic / time will solve the monsters unless they are very careful about catching you as soon as you drop.

I don't see that as a glitch. It is a shortcut, like the one in Duke's. Albeit, it is an unintended shortcut.

I don;t see it a s a glitch either. More like, idk bad geography or something. But I love it, I use it to move on, and still be able to host at higher levels. You know, give your fellow invaders a safe heaven from the gank.
Oh and I've been hosting up here for weeks, i have yet to see anyone try and leave that way.

Ive seen 5 people at least run there yesterday but only yesterday i havent been there today because i havent played much today. But good point about the ganking. Ive been hosting at the burg with my tarkus and other builds for months now and a random bunch starts doing it yesterday? i find it odd.

Well i decided to remove the video for publicity reasons. But now you guys know what to expect IF it happens to you which was my goal to begin with, thanks for watching it.
