Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
They do slaughter around 50 angels guarding them. Thats 50 swords. Of course most of them will use hammers and pick axes but a few use swords. But thanks for the realism check, i completely forgot they wouldnt be that common.

Lol I actually thought I was sounding like a total **** in making that criticism but i reality realise that I wish people would critique my stuff more so I thought you might appreciate a little suggestion.
God the section I was going to post for Letos tonight is too big to finish. Will have to do it tomorow....

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
I challenge the Writers Block to imagine themselves in the middle of a natural distaster and to write a short section about themselves told from a third person perspective. I choose Easrthquake.... probably because I've lived through enough to one hundred percent be able to re tell the whole scenario and what its like.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
Actually Viral that reminds me of a little game I play with some friends. Every now and then when we are together we tell "Ghost Stories." We have to come up with a horror story based off of a theme for the night, and see who can come up with the scariest one on the spot. Maybe we should do that one next time, though I'll have a home field advantage. Do you want me to do a critique of one of your pieces?

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
I haven't read every post in this thread, but what kind of creative writing do you guys do? I aspire to create another proper novel someday, but for now I stick to short (Under 5000 words) stories.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
Atm I'm doing a fantasy fiction, not sure how long. Viral's doing a unch of different stories and Tolvo is doing a small book I think.
Tonight I have to write a short story for you guys, write a bunch of lore for the upcoming war and play dragons dogma. Gonna be a good night.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
I mostly do prose and some poetry, though only by request as I detest writing poetry. Like Dough, I'm writing a book as well though I can't really explain to you a genre.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
I like writing small poems like the ones I posted in the museum. I hate writing/reading anything larger though.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
Joel
Age: ~600
Height: 6’ 6”
Weight: 250lbs
Picture:
Weapons: Large Greatsword and small katana, chain.
Armour: Jeans are reinforced with steel bars. Subdermal armour implants.
Affiliation: Angels, iconoclude
The best Iconoclude ever produced by the angels Joel played
an integral part in the worlds history 500 years ago (don’t want to spoil too
much). However his advanced age means he
needs greater downtime between missions to allow his body to recover from the
drugs and stimulants pumped into his system.
He remains an effective agent especially for critical missions.
His kill count is in the hundreds, possibly thousands. When unleashed he acts on instinct rather
than logic, pursuing his prey like a wolf or dog before unleashing upon them in
frenzy. His armour implants allow him to
shrug off smaller weapon hits with ease and his speed prevents most from
landing. He uses his GS to take on large
groups of foes or take on a single more powerful foe while using the katana to
block other blows and hit targets of opportunity. Occasionally he will replace one of his
swords with the chain, using it to take out foes non lethally so they can be
questioned.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
Why would he want such inefficient weapons? As well why would he want to keep his chest bare but feel the need to protect his legs?

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
Subdermal armour implants, he does have an armoured chest. He fights with inefficient weapons cause the pic has him holding such weapons and its my inspiration for him.

Inspiration is one thing, but you shouldn't restrict your own work because of someone else's.

Re: Creative Writers Sanctum
Lol I have a few pic of characters that I created then needed inspiration for them and boom there they were. I post
Adys the Elf-
She actually has longer hair for most of the first book but cuts it off when the war begin and Thane comes back from the Emmeralis with his Wyrm Arrodach'de'nurn. She is also the Wyrm Tongue one of the few who can speak the Wyrm language but the only one who can speak it fluently and in thier accent. She has a forked tongue just like them, and is the same as Thane, who has his left arm grow in to Arrodach's missing claw earning him Thane Talonhand as his moniker, and earning her the moniker .... something.
Thane-
Letos (just my Dragons Dogma character i made)-
but thats about all i havepics for.
oh and Kries Chernzy just look kind of like a real life Mullen from the Last Exile.
