it really depends on the build. i used to use grass crest shield like everyone else, it has its obvious benefits.

mage:jagged ghost blade+dingy robe(top)

dex:balder side sword or uchi
str:gravelord gs i often wear knights armor(chest) with str/dex type builds.

i have been switching gear up a lot lately even using things like +14 leather/wooden shields ext.

Wanderer coat. Just that.

Only my cosplay builds don't use it.

Would the Wanderer Coat be a better fit for a roaming swordsman build than the Cleric Robe?

Edit: I'm starting to regret spending those chunks on my Holy Robe now.

Well, opinions:

Wanderer: Inteligence, night, moon, cold, dextery, green, black, forests, rivers...

Cleric: Faith, day, sun, warm, strenght, yellow, white, plains, deserts...

Fact: both epic travelers! Just go with the one you feel better using!

I almost always get the uchigatana off of the undead merchant (as long as I'm going the dex route). If I'm going strength, then it's the gravelord greatsword

3 things:

HAVEL's Ring is worn by nearly all my Chars at any time - exception is my Faith build!

DWGR is worn most of the time by all my Chars.

Giants Armor is worn by all my Chars at any time. (not counting helmet, gauntlets and leggins!)

I tried on the Wanderer's coat last night. It fits the build perfectly, plus it's lighter so it helps out my equip load. And..it looks much cooler.

RoFAP in on ALL my chars except on my Sorcerer.

I always pick up the Antiquated Set. I like that crown so much.
