Female toons?

I see alot of dudes with female toons all the time is there a reason that people like to use them like maybe a smaller hit box or is it that alot of guys find it appealing.

I promise im not hating I was just curious.

Lots of Skyrim people do it to.

99.9% of players are guys
99.9% of toons ar female.

i only have one male toon, for me its more fun seeign a girl kick *** and my wife likes making the characters which is the only thing she like about videogames.

edit; in the end with most of the armor covering your whole body it doesnt even matter.

Its just that for awhile now I've noticed that alot of guys in RPG games prefer to play with female characters.

While I myself guy prefer to play with male characters only cause as a guy I think its cool to imagine them as me in all the super powered glory.

Just wondering what exactly makes them want to play as a female.

Mostly it's for the simple reason that females often have better designed armor (sets) than males. Or at least someway not looking too much like something you expected to look like this from a mile away.
I still play male characters mainly. To me, it's more logical that an overloard with a Grant(-like weapon)... is male.

the only time i made a girl was for cosplay (AL firekeeper). i allways make my tonns as skinny as i can though. must be because i think it will make the hitbox smaller

There are a good amount of females that play Dark Souls, trust me.

I usually play as a male character or a female character. The sex depends on the clothing, that is usually all. Clothings such as the hard leather, cleric, pyromancer, and other clothings are different for each sex, while armours are usually seen for one sex... usually female clothes. It would seem ridiculous to wear a dress as a male, although also quite funny. Wearing dusk armour with an egg head gives some interesting views and questions from players.

What's the typical response to this...oh yes!

true another intresting development is that ladys seem to be playing more hard core games than in the past coulpe of years.

My wife like to play saints row the third. for the clothes the guns the violence streak-ing naked plus the cars and last but not least beating people to death with giant Dil-dooos

I love a challenge. I find every possible challenge I can do, and do it as best as I can... although I have yet beat the drake near NG infinite. With my hammer. Some day...

almost all my toons are female..... not sure about the reasoning behind it but i just prefer it.... they frankly tend to look better in every armor set, execpt flipping mask tank as that looks ugly regardless of gender, but most med armors look good and especially light armors like the chain mail chest (<3 closest to gwynever your ever going to get in this game) beyond that female toons also have a different walking animation, it has more of a swagger. and Lastly whats wrong with a woman destroying monsters and saving kingdoms? i tend to prefer strong female heroines in books as well...

I've made all my toons female recently. Even though I regret making my Pyromancer a female. Ornstien's armor just looks way too manly, and I like wearing my Gargoyle helm with that set, which means I'll be seeing this female face with this manly awesome armor. I don't really mind much with my tank with Havel's armor, because when I take off my helm, I look like this awesome badass girl who's in a mile thick piece of metal. Overall, it just LOOKS better. And I like the idea of a chick kicking butt. Plus, I HAVE to RP just a LITTLE, where I think of what my character's thinking, and guys thoughts just aren't interesting. For example, I like to think my female character likes to feel pretty, so she likes reversing her hollow as much as possible. Guy's would be like "That's a waste of a humanity." That aint cool. Plus, most of my friends in real life are girls. I've been described as the "g@y friend." :pale:

I never do women toons, does that mean I am too macho or something? I agree that some equipment is much better on the female characters than male, I love the thief hood on femal but hate the male one, think they should have both been like the female one.

I would agree with that. At least, from my standpoint. I took a "manliness vs womanliness test" and I got a manly score of 95 and a womanly score of 92. Personally, I'd imagine a guy who got a really manly score has to play a man in Dark Souls.

PS: It was also a test of how successful you're likely to be in life. The closer the score, the more likely you'll be successful. >=)

Oh, and this wasn't a facebook quiz haha! It was in sociology class. It's a real test of manliness/womanliness.

I will make a woman just for the heck of it, I spend much time customizing my toons though I make em all kinds of colors.

Thing is that this goes into various areas, one is the people who really don't even give it thought because they are sure of their sexuality they can make either a male or female, then we have people who have other sexual preferences who might enjoy making a female and also we have the actual females.

Another area is that it's just a game, not like you are dressing up as a woman or anything.

In my case I just choose the male toons because I am male and simply never consider using the other gender.

I also think some people choose the female toons for fun and to mess around with other pvpers especially the noobs, many times the new player will fall into the trap that it's a female and if they are close minded they will see that as weakness, on the other hand I have seen that many of the best pvpers have female characters so when I see a female toon I do the opposite and tread carefully.

Pfffft. Maybe it's because playing with females are fun. Bow chika bowow. Hahahaha!

I almost always play males, but since my characters are always covered in armor, it makes no difference.

It does a little bit. Ornstien's armor has a bit more of a chest bulge with a female, which kinda makes it look worse =/

Well I have only one toon that is a male. All my other toons are females. To be honest I like more the female design than than the male design.
The other reason is that I mostly do Int toons or hybrids so I always have the dusk crown as head gear and like to combine it with velka's or beatrice's robe.
The other reason is that usually the main characters in games are bad *** looking males, so when I have the chance to choose between a male or female character I'll go with the latter.
At the end I love women, so what's best than looking at a hotty kicking butt???
