I helped someone defeat a boss...

...But i didn't get a Sunlight Medal for it, is there a glitch that makes it so you can't get one?

It was the Bell Gargoyle fight, I was undead and I'm part of the Warrior of Sunlight Covenant.

Just to make sure, did you get BC'ed out, get DC'ed out, or died at the very end of the fight? Was there a connection error at all?

The fight as a whole was very laggy but I don't believe I disconnected.

Hmm, it's possible the host DC'ed from you then while you were vanishing, meaning you didn't get the Medal. It sounds to me like the issue was just your connection to that person, it sounds like it wasn't very stable. I've had that happen a few times, did you get the souls from the fight?

Yeah I did, 5k to be exact.

You still got the souls? Now that is odd, how many Sunlight medals did you have on you? I'm going to assume not 99, because that's the only case I can think of where you won't get a medal.

I didn't have any, this is the first time I assisted someone while part of the covenant.

Hmm, this is most certainly an odd situation. Question, did you somehow spawn in as a white spirit? Because that can happen via a glitch.

Nah, I was gold, my character did the 'Praise the Sun!' pose and everything.

Just helped another person beat the Gargoyles and got a Medal this time, so I'm gonna write it off as a one time thing.

Yeah I'm not quite sure what happened, my best guess is something with the connection, if it was laggy. But I've never fully experienced what you talked about. Hopefully it won't happen again.
