Just discovered the greatest weakness of Dragonoid people!

Listen! As we all know Dragon Form people don't use any armor. that makes them extremely weak against most attacks. But their greatest weakness is.... Bleed!

2 hits with a Bandit Knife makes them bleed. That's right, only 2 hits and you got a insta 30% of their total health bleed damage. Just imagine what would a Lifehunt Scythe do to them...

Just wanted to share that. I do not claim I was the first that discovered this but it was something I wanted everyone to know .

It was my understanding that they are weak against everything! They need to roll and not get hit to be effective.

I honestly dont see the point of the dragon body, nearly every dragonoid I've fought i've killed spare a few exceptionally good players. Not that the ones I killed were bad its just that my weapon ate their health pretty damn fast, and if they got a hit on my my poise let me keep swinging.

Dragon Body is mostly only useful against turtles. When they have their shield up and you roar, it automatically puts them in guard-break stance, while you have your damage buffed! Problem is the buff only leaves you enough stamina for 1 attack, and none left over to dodge after.

Against most enemies, 0 defense and 0 poise means the Dragon Body is pretty useless. With a Dex build, it's alright, since you just dodge everywhere (but then you still have the issue of the roar not leaving you enough to attack and dodge). With a Str build, though, it doesn't work so well against moderately skilled enemies, since your slow weapon will get you staggered and stun-locked. Especially since the roar, while it will stun opponents, WILL NOT interrupt their attack. So if you roar while they're swinging, you're still going to eat that hit, and then get stun-locked.

Only strength of the torso, really, is the intimidation factor. People who don't know its weaknesses will think it's somehow advantageous to use (hence some of the hilarious misinformed hate mail I've received from the people I've killed with it!). But anyone who is even remotely aggressive will easily have the advantage.

I didn't think of the turtle thing. I've wanted to get it for a long time, I've just never put the effort forward to get the dragon scales.

I've often wondered if a dragon body, str/vit/res build would work. Something like this

maybe less vit and more resistance. But you get the idea. Equip fist weapons to get the extra damage that you get with the body (?) and use the RoFP and the wolf ring.

You'd still have the main issue, that is: 0 poise. I always say Poise > Def, and there's nothing you can do to help that with a dragon torso. Wolf Ring gives 40 poise but, on its own, that's useless.

And only the bare fists get increased damage. I'm pretty sure they don't scale with anything (I didn't check to be sure, but I believe my dragons did the same bare-fisted damage at SL6 and SL75). They do about 350 damage, which is actually more than you can get with a Chaos Caestus +5 with 10 humanity! (I'm a little pissed that I wasted a Red Slab to find that out!)

But try it for yourself. It's a lot of fun to invade with! Just not so viable for dueling. So keep it around SL60ish, ideally, to be able to invade a lot. By the way, I recommend just farming drakes to get the scales. It's a lot faster than waiting around forever to get summoned, and avoids the frustration of getting summoned back-to-back by the cheapest opponents I've faced in DkS (the same estus-chugging mail-breaker lagstabber, summoning you again and again).

@BLA1NE I might do a low level dragon build. Like sl 20 or so. I think bare fists scale with strength but I'm not sure.

I deleted my low-level Dragon, but I can just BB-glitch another to confirm whether fists scale or not.

I'd probably put all points into vit and end for a low level dragon.

Sadly, it has seemed to be their weakness is "everything". Cool concept - zero poise...
