Indictments.

I get 'em all the time. Not just with my Darkwraith, but with characters that I used RSS or Dragon Eye to invade.

I like to think I fight fairly, but it's hard to tell the person's opinion of me. Some people take it as an insult, others seem to be proud of the amount of indictments they have.
I used to think if I was being indicted my opponent thought I was a jerk, but now I have no idea.

What do you think? Thoughts? Opinions?

I take it as an accomplishment. They may be trying to insult me. But, what's really happening is they're making it easier for me to host for PvP.

As for handing out Indictments, don't do it unless they fight honorably. People will troll to get high on the indictment list.

Sounds backwards, but that's how I see it, from a PvP viewpoint.

I just don't indict period because of what Reim is talking about. Personally I get annoyed with Ind's since farmers Indict me all the time, and when I want to host I prefer to fight dark wraiths so I can get more humanity to keep duelling. If darkmoons gave humanity I wouldn't care, but I need the humanity man!

Interesting... Wow, that's something From probably didn't expect (indictments to be seen in that way). Hahaha.

The only time I indict is when I'm just going about my business, trying to get through an area and along comes some DW who beats my sorry butt sending me back to the bonfire and off to retrieve my stash. It's definitely out of spite.

Being human is good for item discovery and in some instances necessary to trigger events. (Kirk comes to mind.) I guess I just have to accept the cold truth that DW will not go away. I guess the only fair policy is to always indict or never indict.

On a side note, just got CSS and HCS in the face while bowing. And then recieved a "Well What Is It" promplty afterwards.

There should be a rating system or something, geez. Hahaha.

LOL, even rating systems will be trolled. It will encourage people to be jackwagons, to see how low their rating can go. I remember in DeS, being trolled. I would be summoned as a blue, only to have the host send me away with a bad rating. They just sat there and summoned, send away, rate poorly.

At least with an indictment, it can be used for good (from a certain standpoint).

THAT'S HORRIBLE! played DeS for a long time and never had that happen to me!

It started becoming popular toward the end, before DkS was coming out.

I don't indict because I'm lazy. But seriously I don't because it does seem there's a lot of people who think its a reward. I get indicted in the forest by duelers for some reason and rarely from farmers. Weird stuff

I never indict anyone as I figure it's what they want. If someone is an *******, I'd rather send a quick 'f you' message or get them to invade again and deal some punishment.

Never indicted anyone, and I feel good when I get indicted, which isn't often. When I try pvp in the forest I suppose getting indicted will lose its flair.

Call me naive, but I usually indict people who doesn't play "fair" and kill me in awful ways - bs fishing, lag, WoG spamming and so on...

I'm a forest hunter and I don't get indicted often (I don't win often) but I don't like when I get indicted without reason, anyway.
Once I was still appearing in the forest when another phantom kills the host and I got indicted - what!?

I indict players all the time. It doesn't matter if they are honorable or not, I simply do it because it gives the Darkmoon Covenant more targets for their invasions and helps general online play.

I have always looked at indictments from a role playing perspective. If my toons a Dark-wraith then I will not indict. But as Darkmoon or any other covenant then I will always indict.

If I get indicted, then that's more invasions and more PVP opportunities. Which is why I invade in the first place. So I guess I prefer to be indicted. But either way I don't really care much.

Yeah, the more you're indicted, the more you can lose to me. thats much better than any other way of doing things.

I love to indict player who totally troll me or other player because I know guys like Forum Pirate, Serious Much, and various others around this forum will take em down where I couldn't and give em hell.

On the other hand I hate being invaded before I'm ready for PvP and while DW's piss me off the invading DM's also do because I feel like I'm being betrayed by my own allies. Even on my current DM toon I still get the odd DM invasion for no reason.

the color switch thing, probably wraiths who got unlucky. i've invaded as a blue and shown up white.

I always Indict because for some reason I only fight trolls and the few times I do win it is because I have trapped them in corridors to give the advantage to my PvE build. However the only time I didn't Indict was when the guy bowed before killing me and he bowed afterwards. Whenever I lose it get a , or a and PvP is hard for me because all of my character except for my Dex build are all PvE builds designed to help newer players beat bosses because of this they tend to carry heavy weapons and armor so I could draw more enemies into me and because of this I have high endurance so I don't fat roll. My Builds are the most help to Dex builds, sorcerors or Pyromancers. It is of little use in PvP.

All they want is indicted when invaded. I only indict when i die honorable. If a dw is come fishing for a bs and i die i never indict them

Are you sure about the dragon eye? I was told in another thread a couple days ago that you could indict a dragon.

As for the OP... I almost always indict, just trying to spread the PvP around.
