I know that is im in DM i get a buff spell. i know when im rank 2 it increases in power(correct me if im wrong). what i wonder is if i was to leave the covanant will i still be able to use the spell or/and talisman. also will the buff spell return to adding its default damage(as if it was nolonger a upgrade of the original)?

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
If you aren't a DM you can't use the spell. If you leave through Oswald I'm pretty sure you keep the level when you rejoin, if not you'll have to level up in the Cov again.

I shall cast myself from the heavens and seek eternal damnation, if it means I may forever hunt the sinners of this world.
I love you sig tolvo. You sure you're a hunter first?

Haha, yes I am. It's the idea that I'm tired of trying to fight as fair as possible against the farmers, that I'll become a creature far more hellish than they could ever be so that I could inspire true fear and terror as I punish them for their actions. Feel free to copy it though you darkmoon blades haha, works for you guys as well.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
I'm pretty sure you just described the job and attitude of a dark moon.
Sounds like you're a dark moon in forest hunters clothing. Doing the same things, for the same reasons with a different ring.
I need to work on my "hunting" though. I'm a pretty decent duelist, but i'm not up to par when i have to track them down and fight in places i'm not used to.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
I'm thinking of making a sl 80 "hunter" that specialises in random invasions an ambush instead of single combat. Any recommendations or tips?

Haha, I have so many tips I'm not entirely sure how to even voice all of them.
And I'm the same way with duelling, Forest Hunting is just a casual stroll for me, but duelling is incredibly difficult for me.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
Just spent 45 minutes on a calculator,
@ serious, what is anyone supposed to use at sl 80. you can only get 2 stats to 40 so its use an elemental weapon, or have no health, or have no endurance, or do no damage.
btw i was thinking this (copy paste without linebreaks):

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
So... any helpful tips for the invasions in Dark Anor Londo?
Yesterday I put the ring on and was constantly summoned - much more than usual.
Most of the times I found the usual couple of host+phantom bs-fishing. Once I invaded this guy who was alone, and kept drinking estus each time his HP went under 50%, I think I counted 15-16 times, so I thought "well, he oughta finish it anytime soon"... and then he stunlocked me and killed me

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
know the environment,
remember that you can hide in the dark,
fighting on narrow staircases keeps both opponents in front of you,
the silver knights are great distractions and if they're bp they'll 1hko many hosts,
loyds talismine stops flasking.
More specific advice would be situation dependant but feel free to ask. I'll answer to the best of my ability

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
Forum by the way, I added this thread to the Forum Resources thread, I know you've been away but you should try to breath some life into this place. Some Darkmoons and those interested might be getting linked here in the future, hopefully we can see a larger presence of you guys on the forum.

Thread cpr? I'm not certified but I'll give it a shot.
It will probably seem like I'm self promoting but, to be fair, I can't really expect anyone else to do it now can I. I'll be more agressive about redirect dm questions here.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
Hey, nothing wrong with marketing haha. By the way, in the resources thread there are some links to information DM's might find useful, such as Online Play, Covenants Section, and the stats for buffing weapons with DMB, maybe adding links to such threads and wiki pages to the OP might do some good eh?

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
Looks good to me, by the way for the Lifehunters I'll be using a Darkmoon, so I shall be posting ideas and what not here as I level him up, I'm going to be sticking to the painted world around level 60.

I'm not a big fan of pvp under sl 80. At sl 60 its all 40 vit, 35 end and a lightning weapon of choice.

I'm going to be a caster using buffed weapons, I'm not sure if I'll go for CMW weapon but I'll definitely be using GMW.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
so 30 int 16 att 25 dex 25 vit 25 end? starting as a sorcerer bellowing, dwgr or fap, mom?
sound about right? it will work well for sure but vit gouged, flip tanks in competent hands could be really tricky.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
Bah, Competent hands, this is for random invasions not FC. As well I shall be wearing the Full Black Cleric set. I'm going to leave my End a bit down because of that, as I won't carry much more than a catalyst, parrying shield/weapon, and estoc and rapier. No DWGR either, as I'll be under 25% burden. I wouldn't mind CMW, as it will really give me an edge. And it requires 33 int.

Re: Dark Moon Blades.
Hmm, maybe. At that low of a level it might do decent damage against people, can give me some breathing room. It doesn't have too long of a cast, I just have to be careful of my distance. I'll mess around with it and see how it goes.
