Hi forum, 

I don't often pvp seriously, but when I do, I get called the magic puppy by the regular players I know... thought it was about time there was a video to show how shameless this set up can really be lol

On an unrelated note, I saw the comments on one of your videos and someone was complaining that you hack on two pieces of torso armor. I'm asking because I honestly can't tell.

Ah that wonderful word that has been used throughout the ages in multiplayer, as far back as Goliath calling David a "Sling Wh0re" with his last words. Great vid though, not enough magic vids out there, too many katana/qual build vids.

Yes there is always beef about using save editor lol, there was some complaints about the multi covenant spells too

I guess its not legit... But I dont personally see the lava from chaos ball worth a whole extra slot compared to great ball... And I dont see Gravelord sword dance as better than tempest, so I dont have a problem with it

Using hacks is no different from playing the game legit, in the way you have to be responsible with it. I would sooner face a hacker who made a legit build in 10 mins, over some BS fishing poise monster lol

Also the double armor is SE as well, yes you get the stats and resistances for both, but you also get the weight, so to me its no different than just equipping a heavier headwear =)

Well then can't you just do it without equipping two chest pieces? The extra weight doesn't make a difference because you'd be fast rolling anyway. All I see is unfair defenses. Put on heavier gear if thats what you want. It's lame no matter how you look at it.

If the lava isn't worth a whole extra slot, then why not just use Great Fireball and not give yourself an advantage? That lava can definitely be worth the slot if used well. Entire doorways and hallways can be coated in the lava, as well as be used for un-avoidable wake-up attacks.

I have no problem specifically with the save editor, but more-so with any advantages it gives a person. Aside from that, good video. Not enough magic-slinging youtubers. Everything is dex, quality, and pyro.

Spell cancel - Fine because harmless


Abusing dead angles (casting wotg backwards to make blocking impossible) - Fine for some reason


Doing a roll into a move swap, for example doing a dragon king axe power attack from a rapier roll - Fine appparently because its hard to do


BB Glitch back in the day - fine


Dragon head glitch - Fine for souls, not for pvp

And on the other hand...

BS fishing / poise stacking / attacking whilst bowing / spamming magic / healing mid duel - not fine.


Spell swapping a buff onto an unbuffable weapon - not fine, even though there is barely anything that would benefit from this, and is literally the same buttons as that rolling moveset crap


Using a save editor for the exact same thing BB glitch achieved (Quick builds) - Not fine.


Using harmless but mostly visual tricks on save editors, not fine.


Using multi cov spells when none of them are better than non-cov counter parts - Not fine


As you can see the line is about as straight as Elton John. The game is FAR too old to be taking moral highgrounds with glitches and stuff like that, like Mayhem said, its about responsibility and keeping pvp sensible.

I would MUCH rather face someone with 2 stacks of chaos ball, than some hipster abusing dead angles and moveset swaps

Completely agree with everything you said, the whole this glitch is good but this one is not is really ignorant in my opinion. In some cases its just stupid, for example stunlocking something that is ment to be in the game is seen as cheap by many people yet using toggle to get out of a stunlock and parry someone is a super pro tactic even though stunlocking is supposed to be in the game and toggling is not.

As for the armour, its clearly like that to look good (because it does look GOOD) and not so that he can have extra defence, he has like 570 hp and no poise anyway.

Is this supposed to be impressive?

I mean, MindsEye was doing the same thing 2 years ago, and not using a save editor.

So if its to look good, why not JUST use the armor that looks good. I mean it would never even cross my mind to stack to chest pieces because I know it's something that simply can't be done naturally. FFS just stay within the parameters of the game. With the example you're setting, everyone will be running around with an extra attunement slot. I mean, what's the harm, right? Since I've gone that far, why don't I just stack armor pieces, and while I'm at it, maybe I'll just swap to a MoM +5. No one will notice, right?  Then where does it end?

Having an extra attunement slot and extra, unnatural defense is a leg up, no matter how you look at it. FACT. I don't know, but it might even be considered cheating too. >_>

Also, please don't assume what everyone's stance is on all the things you listed, Rosie.

Mayhem posted this video here for us to see, its a harmless video of forest pvp and doesn't need your salt.

The statement "This has been done before" is about the most pointless thing to say about a game thats over 2 years old - EVERYTHING has been done before. 

"Is it supposed to be impressive?" Maybe, maybe not. People upload their gameplay for many reasons, you should not assume its for bragging so quickly.

This thread is NOT going to turn into a silly bashing session about what glitches and hacks were and were not used.  If you have a problem with the video, go to youtube and click the downvote button, then put it to bed.

I'm only stating stating my opinion which I'm more than entitled to do. And what is this anyway, "I can upload what I want and nobody can say anything about it unless its nice"? Aren't forums for discussion?

Stop with the petty bickering, it's not productive. Whilst it is true that the video is open to critique, I think you should do the polite thing and not rip into the guys video.

"If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" - Dunno if you guys have that expression where you live, but it's something I'd like this forum to be fond of- especially since we aim to have a close knit and friendly community.

@Panda- please do not criticise the way the members in positions of responsibility operate. We accept you may not always be happy with what we do, but it's down to the hard working members of the team that allow this forum to be as good as it is, so please at least give us respect for that.

I don't believe my argument was petty bickering. I had a reasonable point and would have liked OP to defend himself, but that's probably not gonna happen. I could leave my opinion the YouTube page, but it'll probably just get deleted. 

I guess it's ok to encourage save editing stats with unfair parameters around here, as long as its presented in a cutesy kawaii format.
