im 19 and my parents still pay for everything, but really not much changes when you hit 18 especially if you don't have much in the way of friends or significant others (in my case).
Before you can support yourself and a child, sex really should not be an issue you consider, as the sheer finiancial trouble isn't worth it and such things can often put one so far behind in life that you never get above the poverty line and die with debt that gets passed to your kids.
Yes these are excuses from a lonely geek with no chance of getting a girlfriend but that doesn't make them any less true, in short don't get crazy, the world likes a tragedy as much as a comedy.

Condoms do exist for a reason, just be smart about using them. Along with other contraceptives.
