Huh, something must be going on with the reply box, whatever. Skare your in Tennessee? I love it down there, people aren't that friendly to me but the environment is beautiful and there are so many hiking trails by some of the mountains near Nashville. I'm going down there in a few months with my friend so we can go hiking.

Re: Random Off-Topic
When you go there Skare, if you want to mess with people, if someone asks you how you are doing start complaining about Dark Souls to them, but don't tell them what you are talking about. "Hello, tourist, hows it going?" "Hows it going!? Horrible! I was just slaughtered by that giant crystal golem over there? Sure, they are slow, but they are nimble! I just need to come back with my magic and my chaos katana and then they will be sorry! I just need to get past those damn trees. Stupid trees, trying to eat me. Trees didn't like it when I shot holy lightning from the sky at them! And how will I kill that hydra? I must first jump onto that pillar and fly via crow back to the asylum, to get the magical ring to let me walk through water. Yes, yes, that is what I shall do."

Re: Random Off-Topic
Grin, I'm in the Western (best) part of NY actually. My wife and I will be visiting Kentucky in a couple weeks (barring an obstacle or two). I've been in a bus going through both Kentucky and Tennessee before and they're both fairly pretty states. Our plan is to check out some caves (hard to do here legally), maybe some historical sites and buildings, and possibly do the Hatfield-McCoy feud driving tour.

Ah, well I do remember going to a few caves a few years ago that are open for the public. You might have to look them up on the internet though, they're hard to find if you don't know where you're going. I remember there was one cave there that was quite deep and you eventually ended up on a raft because of the amount of water down there, if my memory serves me correctly.

Re: Random Off-Topic
We're actually booked at a State Park there with a few caves that are open. I've looked around the state and Mammoth Cave looked pretty amazing but that's a few more hours to drive for us so I'm not sure it'll happen. I recall seeing one with a boat ride. Not sure what it was called though. This all depends on our a-hole state though. We filed our tax returns the first week of February and we're still waiting for our refund. Without that....vacation canceled.

Ah, well I hope all goes well for you and your tax return. I went to Mammoth Cave a while ago, it's worth the visit. Granted if you try to go rock climbing they'll promptly kick you out, but I'm sure that won't be a problem for you.

Yes, "not" a problem for me. Says the guy who used to climb the walls in college and suspend himself over doorways to prank friends exiting their dorm rooms.

I still do that. So I'm sure you won't have any trouble, just don't let your inner-gremlin pop out when your near the bottomless pit. The fall won't be pleasant.skarekrow13 wrote:Yes, "not" a problem for me. That could be a problem. I'm simultaneously terrified and fascinated by great heights.

I'd recommend staying away from the pit than I never went to it but I'm sure a fall of over 100 feet wouldn't end up well for you or me. Unless, of course, you would like to go bungee cord racing down to the bottom.

Re: Random Off-Topic
That's tempting to bungee down it. Although 100 feet is nothing I haven't looked over before. We have a river cut gorge nearby in one of our State Parks and I've been right at the edge of that in various spots that go well over 400 feet. It's funny how that doesn't seem like a lot until you're looking straight down it.

I got that .gif from a Senator's site from Wisconsin. He apparently does not recognize Alaska and Hawaii as states

Look here America, Britain once ruled almost the entire world.
How did you come to be superior to us, when we ruled you?

Re: Random Off-Topic
It twinkles and has a menacing eagle. Does Britain even have a menacing mascot?
Speaking of Bald Eagles, they're making a comeback in NY along with a lot of hawks and some giant *** crows. We've always had birds but now we're getting a lot more menacing ones. This is likely awesome. I've also seen more cardinals, grackles and blue jays so maybe it's just a good time to be a bird.

In NY? Didn't think that would be the place of all places for new birds to appear, but that sounds hellish cool. Wish I saw some type of bird other than the usual boring ones.
Britain doesn't need a mascot, we're just too awesome for that.
The Union Jack is all we need.
