    If you are being really serious, I will admit I hope that I never go that far. I find pleasure from other people's pain, I am a sadist by heart, but becoming the cause of torture to people around me is something I hope to never do.

    I obviously need to see the anime, from what I've seen except for the last scene. Is that it doesn't understand what human emotion is and tries to explain things in it's own terms.

    Now I have another anime that I need to watch.

    Let me explain; you do not lose your soul. Kyubey contains your soul within a Soul Gem, so that you may use your body to its full extent without the risk of being harmed. As long as your Soul Gem is unharmed, you are invincible. In simpler terms, your soul becomes an object for you to control.

    I'm too sympathetic to enjoy the suffering of others.

    If someone was depressed I'd go out of my way to try to cheer them up, especially if they are very close to me.

    There's a difference between depression and pain or torture, Lati.
    I find no enjoyment out of other people being depressed, only the pain and suffering they feel.

    Like I said I was young Dibs and am very different from that person. Although I never lasted long like that to cause any real damage and no one ever knew. Just that I was the quiet child in a fifth grade class who had a lot of fears.

    I still wouldn't do it.

    I believe fear is mankind's one greatest enemy. It causes problems within the world.
    Just to give a large-scale example, look at the World Wars. They were caused by fear from one side or another.

    Then again, without fear, the world would be utter chaos. It keeps the balance of society and morals.

    I have very little fears, unfortunately. I'm not trying sound bad here, but you only fear something when you expect an end result to happen.
    Going back to your fear of heights. You would be a lot less scared if you knew you would not get hurt from the fall.

    Well, look at the Cuban Missle Crisis.
    Russia began putting nuclear weapons in Cuba, and the President of America at the time feared that it would cause a thermonuclear war, and as such he did everything in his power to prevent Cuba from obtaining any more weaponry.

    I have an extreme fear of spiders. A lot of my friends and family make fun of me for it because I'm kind of a big intimidating looking guy, but if I see a little spider I shake and I have to leave the room. I haven't used the back stairwell in my apartment building since the weather started to get warm because it's a haven for large orb weavers and wolf spiders. They were all over in there last summer.

    ^ It wasn't as simple as that at all. That event was the height of the Cold War. The United States and our allies all feared nuclear war because our counties had been threatening each other with it for years leading up to it, and would continue to for years after. The situation is often described as a nuclear standoff because that's exactly what it was. It's not like it was some irrational thing.
