Idk man, I'm not disagreeing with you about a dagger's versatility. But I quit getting stunlocked from daggers a long time ago, and that was with the 2 pvp toons I had that had 7 poise.
I still think if someone is getting stunlocked with a poise of 18 or greater....they have some serious "basics" work to do.

To give an example; 80% of my deaths are because I ran out of stamina.
When I say I stunned people with high poise, I mean I literally went hollow on them.

Maybe not, but I'd definitely parry you based on the spam theory, which is kinda the only way to makeyour arguement.

But breaking that much poise with a dagger requires spamming.
The poise gauge regens at a set amount like stamina. There's really no way to "break some poise"...."back off"..."break some poise again".....but I'm sure you knew that.

You know, the R1 is not the only thing a Dagger has. Don't forget the Dagger's R2 is a thrust, so it literally cuts through poise.

I'm pretty sure the 1 hand is 5 poise damage, and the 2 hand is 7, hence requiring the 6 and 8 breakpoints.
If you just figured out that the dagger or the DST thrust attacks do more than that, then :Baal02: <--not sarcasm.

Even if it is only 5 and 7 poise, you're also forgetting that a Dagger can hit like 5 times every 2 seconds. On top of that, I do not want to poise break people, as they waste their stamina if I don't.

Just remember, you're probably better than 90% of the people that invaded me. I was in the Forest after all. I was literally toying with some of the people who invaded me, it was actually rather sad.

I didn't mean that in a bad way, but I didn't want to say most and 90% seems like quite a bit. Meant it as a compliment.
I love using under-used weapons, which is why I prefer the Halberd and Rapier so much. Halberds are sort of rare and very few people actually expect to be killed by a Rapier when they don't get backstabbed or parried.

sure it matters who has the bigger stick but it matters a hell of a lot more who's swinging it Player skill is a huge factor in this game, Anyone can kill with the Spampole or Noobhander, Takes skill to play and win with The under-rated weapons

Ahh. But that's the beauty of it. No one expects to get get killed by a Dagger, which is the exact reason I got so many kills.
