Cant seem to get the darn thing...in my
third playthrough i figure a trade is easier
at this point.

I normally head to the exit or HB out(when heath is low) and retry or you could always quit reload

You can bridge a larger gap in levels if the Lower level person uses the Red soul sign. The higher level person must be in human form, in an area where the boss is still alive. The lower level person places the sign, and the higher level person summons. This method will work regardless of the level difference, I think. Red soul stone is in Painted World, by the way, at the top of the spiral staircase in the middle of the level. Hope this helps.

Also, if you still need the dagger tomorrow, I just got one to drop, and I'd be willing to trade it. I'd have to do the Red sign thing, but thats no problem. I won't be on until tomorrow (tuesday).

you just cut it off just hitting the tail
