I just dug out my Gamecube, like I said I was thinking about doing the other day. I played through Super Metriod, then Fusion, then Zero Mission, and thought digging back into Prime 1 and 2 might be fun. It's really hard going back to older systems with 3D graphics. You don't really realize how far graphics have come in newer generations until you go back after having gotten used to them. I remembered Prime looking gorgeous, and this time it was actually hurting my eyes. Everything was really foggy and fuzzy, and I had to sit really close and strain to see detail. So I popped in Resident Evil 4 to see if that was any different and it was just as bad. I'm disappointed. I really wanted to play Prime, but I have a headache from playing for just an hour. I'm wondering if it'll look better on my old tv? Like maybe the HD is making it look bad because it's sharpening all its imperfections?

It doesn't really make a difference with the older 2D graphics systems because everything is sharp and crisp on those. I loved playing Super Metroid again. It was still just as impressive both in gameplay and graphics

If you look at how prevalent gun control is in an area you will see an extreme spike in the frequency of shootings in that area.

Though i do like a good bit of indian (even though it's not real indian.. just like chinese), it's rather nice and very filling stuff

It seems like ever since the Connecticut shooting it's been happening constantly, but I guess you also have to ask yourself whether or not it happened just as much before but the media is just covering more of it now.

@Pirate: well I'd think staying inside would at least be safer if for no other reason than making you less visible. If he's just running around shooting people randomly, which is what it sounds like he's doing, then I'd think he'd probably shoot whoever's visible, as opposed to running past people on the street to try to get into a house. It also keeps people out of the way. If the cops are out in force, which in this situation they are, they don't want innocent bystanders around. Any number of things could happen to complicate the situation if there were a bunch of people around, like hostage taking, or stray bullets, or whatever. There are smart individuals out there, but people, as a general rule, are dumb as hell. They don't want some moron wandering into a dangerous situation, so it's easier to just tell everyone to stay inside.

Colorado preceded Connecticut anyway.
