Or, alternatively, is there a cheap way to kill those damn Skele-Dogs?

How do I two hand a bow in my left hand? I've seen people do it but I never figured out how to do it myself.

Tap L1 while a weapon is in each hand, with the bow being in the left. Tap L1 again and you will "scope".

lalliman wrote:^ because undead are hunted only in the outside world.
Lions would be hunted when they entered the city, but people don't go into the wild to hunt them just because they're dangerous. Hunting undead in Lordran would be the same thing.
Ok, so by outside world then it means anywhere but Lordran?
To me that is one point that never made complete sense...
Anyway, thanks for your answer.

Frampt. The darkness has stunted Kaathe's growth, hence his hatred for Frampt. I know this for certain.Doelker wrote:If you are an undead and clerics hunt undead, then why they don't attack you on sight?
I believe its because you have not yet developed the darksign.
Question:
How much poise damage does Great Combustion do?
Question:
How much poise damage does Force do?
My friend is coming over this weekend. If things goes as planned, he will bring his xbox. I will ask of him to help me test out the poise damage dealt with Great Combustion and Force if no one else has answered it by then.

How does damage calculation actually work? Is it as simple as AR-defences, or is there some underlying calculation that determines how much damage you take?

Most of the Covenants have some form of item reward, ranging from Items to Miracles, however most of them are aimed towards use in online.
The only one that has no online function is the Chaos Servant Covenant, which grants two Pyromancy's for ranking up, as well as allowing you to unlock a shortcut, bypassing two bosses.
This Page will explain each covenant far better than I could, however they may have slight spoilers. If you want to avoid all spoilers, just say and someone will give a spoiler-free explanation of each one.
And you can only be a member of one at a time. You can leave your Covenant at any time by talking to a specific NPC, or performing an action to anger the covenant you're in (So that they boot you out), or simply asking another NPC to join their Covenant (Which will remove you from the one you're in).

Technically the Chaos Covenant does have an online function. It's nothing much really, but there is still something. What i'm talking about is the list you can use to see other Chaos Servants.

I'll ask of him to help me test it out as well if no one has given you the results by then.

I'll add unsolicited that Black Flame breaks 65 poise. I'm slowly trying to get all the casts' poise numbers.

At 40 poise GC breaks your guard. At 41, it doesn't affect you at all.
Moving on to Force now.

Even with full Havels, Force still affects you. You get pushed back no matter what. It doesn't break your guard at all, even with a small shield and 0 poise. I hope that helped. Anything else you're curious about, while me and Bloodpact91 are playing around?

I know force can stagger someone in full Havels'...but on the first try? I always thought it took 2 or 3 casts.
Could you clear up the Black Flame thing by chance?
And thanks a lot Tart!

This wiki says 62,
other wiki says 61,
Emergence is guessing 65 I believe.
If you're busy doing other stuff I understand.

At 61, BF staggers. At 62 poise, i did not get staggered.
Note: GC seems to be able to break guard, while BF does not.

that's interesting, i was using black flame instead of great combustion because i thought it was better at breaking poise and breaking guard.

question: is there a way for invaders to pull mobs? i've heard that the skull lantern will pull mobs and i assumed that alluring skulls would as well, but i haven't had any luck with either. perhaps someone better than i could give it a shot?
