    Love the books
    Love the show

With the explosion of characters, places, and events I like what they did w/ the 2nd season and the choices they made. It would be impossible to make a full recreation in a mere 10 hours, so I'm ok taking the good w/ the bad and have accepted that the two mediums will always be 'different', regardless of the story.

^ So far I feel the same way. I'm thoroughly enjoying both. Doesn't have to be one or the other.

I'm in the lucky position of having no intention to ever read the books, so i don't have to make comparison silly

I'm totally addicted to the books. I can't stop reading them. 'Orrible deaths, violence, torture, betrayal and more 'rumpy pumpy' than you get in the back streets on a Friday night after the pubs have closed. I've just ordered 'A Dance of Dragons, part 1 and 2 from Amazon. I think these are the last two but I hope not.

I think there're supposed to be 7 in all.

They are great shows and books. The second season differs a bit from the book but in some ways improves it. They are bringing characters that they missed for season three and i also believe that they will be making a storm of swords into two seasons, i am sure both will be great

Digging up this old thread since I've finished book two and am now about 1/2 through book 3.

Really not understanding the hate for season 2 of the show. I think they did an excellent job of highlighting the main points and grab the essence of the books pretty well. Yeah, some things were different, but I can't say any of them are 'bad', just different.

    Anyway...

    Spoiler:

    Loving these books!
