I'm sure common sense will be making a comeback, that and since the education, at least in Florida, seems to be getting much harder. If the new youth exceed they will be highly smarter than us.Mr. Tart wrote:Let's just hope it doesn't take a wrong turn, or we'll probably had kids making atomic bombs in 2050.

Since we always end up back at food....
Made some Buffalo chicken wraps tonight. Added rice and cheese and sauteed mushrooms with roasted garlic butter.
Then we had some Polish version of donuts with raspberry filing. It turns out the only difference between these and normal ones is that these are gigantic.
I can barely move at the moment

Education has always been terrible in Louisiana and it always will be, especially where I'm from. I'll always wonder how I would have turned out if I grew up in a state with a better literacy rate.

Louisiana is strange. Terrible education and terrible health care but, per capita, I don't know if any other state has produced more incredible authors than Louisiana.

Who knows? Though every state always tells me the same thing: My strengths from least to greatest are writing, math and reading. Math I get since it goes from if I don't know I fail to once I understand I'll pass. Reading is somewhat considered natural for me though I have no clue why and writing I'm just plain bad at. Which sucks since I have an imagination that could turn out some great children's booksThe Letter X wrote:Education has always been terrible in Louisiana and it always will be, especially where I'm from. It is strange. A few of my friends are writers-in-the-making, and I could probably write as well according to them.

Math, reading, and writing/English are my best subjects. I am terrible at history and non-math related sciences. I score well on standardized tests, but from what I've heard I could do much better if I lived in a state with a better education system.

Re: Random Off-Topic
Actually I take back what I said about my writing, since joining here and hard work in my classes my writing has improved a great deal. I also went back and started to pick up an old fan fiction project I left dead last month ago as well as a book on my personal philosophies that must be reedited to my current views.
As for history I love it and always do well on. From my grades now everything is at either an A or a B pending to an A. Expect geometry....god I hate it and from what I been told it has been the majority of my school's hardest/failing class, even the AP calculus students have told me they struggled.

Geometry is bad and should feel bad.

Geometry defies the common order of my grades established since the first grade: Every grade I have must be either an A or B! NO EXCEPTIONS! It's a freaking mockery, and I'm not even that bad at it!

Washingtons edjucation is terrible, not because its sub par, but because peeople are held at par, no matter their abilities, which really blows for everone above or belowthe bar. "advanced placement" classes are the same work as normal, with twice the homework.
Why do people struggle with geometery? Its really just algebra with shapes.

That's when you get all those special Saturday night deals. No one expects you to come in to the grocery store and buy prosciutto at that time.

Education vinyl in some states is crap. Then again the U.S. is the ONLY country where we refuse the metric system that everyone else use.

Have you tried Denmark Pirate, or New Zealand? I got a classmate who won't shut up about how good New Zealand is compared to the U.S.
