I dunno, I guess I feel like you guys are just being a bit whiny about something that I don't think makes a big difference. You're knit picking.

Re: Dead Space 3
I'm not really bothered by that either. I found the progression of the story, at least to where I am in it, to be pretty natural. Starting from the beginning of DS2, when Isaac was beginning to be used. Actually I think so far the second one is my favorite, and that's really the one that bridges that gap.

I agree with you on DS2, it is my favorite. I felt the engine was at its best(although I thoroughly enjoy the additions to 3) and the story was quite good. It was a departure compared to 1's isolation though.

Yeah, I guess I wouldn't argue with that. I miss the suit system from 2 also. I really liked each suit having it's own unique abilities.

Re: Dead Space 3
I just loved stepping into the store with a new suit blueprint and watching that glorious animation. Best scene has to be Isaac putting on his Engineer/Elite Engineer RIG. My favorite RIG is the Riot security suit.

Re: Dead Space 3
I used the regular Security Suit for most of the game because I'm a big Pulse Rifle fan, especially in 2 and 3, and it increased it's damage by 15%. I liked the Retro Suit a lot visually too.

I loved the Riot suit's looks, actually favored that over the increased damage on the pulse rifle

Re: Dead Space 3
The Riot suit would unlock in NG+, you could equip it at the first store. There was a bug though that would unlock it for every NG as well, so I had NG runs start off with the suit as well.

Re: Dead Space 3
That explains why I never saw it. I got DS2 and DkS for Christmas, and thankfully I popped in DS2 first. After I finished it I popped DkS in and that was that.

The last area is a complete 360 from the rest of the game.
Maybe I am being nitpicky. Like I said I really liked the rest of the game, it just gets so ridiculous at the end for the sake of a grand finish.

Re: Dead Space 3
They should have picked a different main character this time around. Isaac Clarke was better when he was a normal engineer scared out of his wits, not some ultra space marine leader guy ready to die for earth.

Re: Dead Space 3
I think I liked him the best when he was straight nuts. The necromorphs are bad enough, but the addition of Isaac's sudden hallucinations made it even more tense. Yet another reason the second one is my favorite.

Re: Dead Space 3
I like where they've taken Dead Space so far. In fact, Isaac has come to be one of my favorite "heroes" in games so far. I agree with Plastic though, it was at its best in Dead Space 2. Good thing is, he seems nuts in the Dead Space 3 DLC again.

^ Yeah, I don't have a problem with it either. There hasn't really been a single time that I haven't been enjoying my playthrough. That's enough for me

The DLC dialed the scare factor up by quite a lot, I approve

I didn't even know it was out. Did it turn out to be extra missions or a stand alone?

It's an epilogue, but that's all I'm saying, I don't wanna spoil anything.

So it's an addition to the regular game? Or do you select something else to play it? That's what I'm asking

Oh, yeah, it's an addition. You just load your game and play it(as far as I know you do need to get to the original end game).

Re: Dead Space 3
I just finished Dead Space 3: Awakening. That has got to be the shortest f*cking DLC ever. Being a part of the main plot i guess it is understandable, but paying that much extra for what should already be part of the original game as well as it being so short is just absolutely horrible.
I honestly didn't feel satisfied at all. I was hoping for i sweet return to Dead Space 1 and 2 with more scares, and i was really satisfied. I was enjoying it sooooo much. And then it ended. Just like that. Nothing more.
I know it is kind of obvious, but just in case anyone is curious, there are spoilers relating the DLC, which is part of the main story itself, so read on your own risk.

- Spoiler:
- The ending was, in a way nice too, although i was kinda sad to see Isaac die.
Edit: Then again, he's not necessarily dead, but i don't see why they'd add such a short DLC to the game with that ending and then let him live in another game/DLC.

Spoilers tag ahead for Plastic's sake.
- Really Plastic, don't click this:
Since you beat it, I'll tell you what it was I was referring to: At the beginning of the DLC, I said they would make this into some elaborate setup for a battle for earth between necros and survivors. I was sadly right.

Atleast i got to hear the nice guitar music at the end of the game again, so that's a plus!
