Poise does go down though; it would be nice to know how fast though.

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
EWGF did some research on it and what he found was that after getting hit there was about a one second delay before your poise meter began to deplete. Once it began, it took depleted by ~20% of its total per second. You could probably do some much more accurate tests than he did on the PC version using CE, though.

Spears do 30 poise damage. So 1 hit = 30, 2 hits = 60, 3 hit = 90, etc. Very simple math. When your poise meter is filled, you get stunned.
That actually makes a lot of sense, don't know why I was adding the poise breakpoints.

In my defence, I was lazy and based my post on that Wyrm knew what he was talking about. Should have known better!
Just joking Wyrm.

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
You know for these faith tank builds, wouldn't it also be effective just to iron flesh, tranquil walk of peace and bash them?
I realize it might be cheap, i'm just asking if that's the only reason you guys don't do it.

Can't use TWoP while using Iron Flesh, but TWoP is a good option for a medium/fat roll build.

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
Can't use both at the same time, only one body buff allowed at once. Just TWOP would be enough, but its considered cheap, and there's the possibility that your foe would run for it (but thats the same with any buff).

Ah dang, didn't consider TWOP as a body buff...and those ppl who run away from buffs are a PITA.

I understand them, they're just being clever. That's why I don't buff if my opponent doesn't either, it just wastes my time.

Be prepared to be roll BSed. If I come across a tank like that, then my strategy is roll BS or look for a pattern and parry. And, that is after turtling until the buff wears off.

No, I saw it. I also saw someone smart enough to roll through your dead angle WoG and backstab you.

Take it easy Kobra. No need to get insulting. His build is set up to be powerful in one aspect. Yours is set up to be powerful in another.Kobra wrote:And being the scrubby mothers mask rapier flip ring dingy robe heater shield backstab fishing scrub he is, I destroyed him after standing back up.

Hey Kobra, I know in highlight videos only wins are normally shown, but doyou have any that highlights the weaknesses? What if someone doesn't want to engage and just shoots you with a bow/magic?

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
All bows can be dodged by strafing sideways and the first fight shows what happens to a magic spammer, even after I did a well what is it to his pursuers (he was also a much higher level). The last fight is what you do to a turtle.IV_Mark_VI wrote:Hey Kobra, I know in highlight videos only wins are normally shown, but doyou have any that highlights the weaknesses? Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
Halberds are very difficult to counter. If you could have at least 61 poise you can tank his R1 spamming for a poise backstab. Bows shoukd work since you out range the pokes. Halberds are the bane of my existence and this build is just perfect for them.

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
I played a SL 65 Iron Tarkus cosplay fatroll and I did well in the forest, but my weakest matchups were with people decent with magic/bows. There's no walls to back them up against in the forest, so my options were trading with them with a heavy xbow, or using cover and tryng to force them to make a mistake. In this arena, there's walls to push them up against so they can't run forever, especialy with WoG to box them in.

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
Say what you want about BS fishing, Kobra, it's the best luck I've had against this build. Frankly, a lot of builds just aren't going to be able to take this build head-on.
Also, out of curiosity, have you run into any mages who are smart enough to wait until GMB ends before spamming DB and Pursuers?

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
I actually didn't run into any INT builds who managed to wait out both my casts of GMB. By that time they're either dead or severely crippled. if worst comes to worst i hard swap for the crest shield.

Re: [Video] Fatroll PVP
I wonder if it would be viable to make a pure cast tank build, focused on neutralizing damage using spells and miracles and keeping a fast roll speed lol.
