Ninja flippers ACK Empty Ninja flippers ACK

Post by GenericUsername Mon Jan 14, 2013 8:24 pm

Wondering what everyone else thinks of them. Also sort of a rant but whatever.

I've gone up against so many ninja flippers and they are by far the worst kind of people to pvp in my eyes. Every single fight has been ridiculously drawn out where I can almost never land a single blow on them and if by some miracle I do? Lol they backflip away one hundred times and heal. And of course I've always heard others give me that " oh just used well timed attacks and whatnot " That's bullNinja flippers ACK 2324285107. I have tried every different kind of weapon attack I have against these people and it never works. And thats when they're actively trying to fight. There are still even more that just flip around and don't even attack, they just constantly keep their distance.

Bah, I've had about enough of this.

If you're complaining about it now, I'm assuming you never played before the patch that came with the DLC.

    Be thankful for that.

    EDIT: For clarification:

You may notice the opponent was wearing full Giant's Armor. While Ninja Flipping.

Back before the PC release, the DWGR worked on builds up to 50% equip load. It wasn't hard to get any, and I mean ANY, build flipping with the Ring of Favor and Protection or Havel's Ring.

You would have hated the DWGR even more before DLC, everyone else did.

I use a spear against them now, since they normally have to have light armor sets it's easier to kill them. I would recommend the spear and just learn to time the attacks. You could also try out-rolling them, I do that every once and a while and it seems to work, just use fast-roll.

That video is really funny. Its like a pre-patch anthem. He kills a giant's set ninja flipper, then pulls out his 75 divine blessings

I was trying to find a good example to show with my post, and I really just went to youtube and searched "dark souls pvp flipping," and that was the first result lol!

It's not hard to find videos of the crazy :dung: that went on before the patch happy

Your going about it all wrong. Have you tried to poison/toxic a flipper yet?

I doubt they would stay still long enough for that to take effect. Unless you cast it where they dodge to.

Ninja flippers give me a bit of trouble since I'm out of practice from fighting them pre-patch. Now I just use thrusting attacks to counter it.

Poison arrows/knives and dung pies. After all, both slow stamina regen AND they still fill status bar through I-frames, like bleed does.

if my opponent has a weapon that can break 40 Poise i use DWGR, if they use a weapon that won't break 40 poise i use wolf.

    i see no problem

Ninja guys are hard to hit and hard to outmaneuver, but they usually have low Poise. Be patient and learn their timing.

Additionally. You can kick them, if you got weapon fast enough to attack them and you might stagger them as well. GC/BF works well, if you time it to the exit of their flip. If they fip close to you, they can turn their back to you, it's what the flip does, and you can actually backstab them if timed correctly.

If you really want to kill a ninja, bring a long spear, keep distance and poke him into oblivion. If he tries something smart, like roll bs you, just kick him and R1.

in the reverse, you can cartwheel through the bleed when it "pops" and you won't take any damage at all.

there is no doubt that cartwheeling tanks where the absolute worst! but since they also removed most strength weapons ability to stun-lock, it makes it impossible to punish a cartwheeling lunatic as a strength build and if you can't beat them, join them.

as good as the darkwood grain ring is, i still prefer to fast or medium roll though. i like using that ring slot for a other things anyway.

You have to understand that post patch, everyone whos flipping have poor gear, so feel free and try to stunlock and just do chunks of damage with each hit. Unless if they're overleveled of course

The Avelyn works pretty good against flippers...if you can get the timing down right. Lock off pyro balls aint too bad.
