Welcome to the forum. Sorry can't help you with Seath but I'm on PS3 and my soul level is too high. However, if you're not after Seath's tail, he isn't so bad to beat. Smash his crystal at the back of the cave first, make sure you have anti curse gear equipped i.e. Cursebite Ring if you have it, then get in close and hammer him. If you do want the tail though that's more difficult and he'll lead you a merry dance. I've lost count of how many times I've died but I solo'd him three times, so it is possible.

Since i am a knight i skipped getting his tail and just clubbed him to death...the one problem is as i killed him he cursed me. Where do i go in New Londo to get uncursed?

you can buy a purging stone from the female undead merchant in the aquaduct by firelink shrine. Or you could kill the clam enemies nearby the bonfire that appears after he dies to get them. In new londo you would have to make it past hordes of ghosts to pay the sealer on top of the church to un-curse you. However, if you talk to him after defeating the four kings, he moves to firelink shrine.

It's the tunnel you go through once you beat all of the enemies on the cliff in Firelink Shrine. (The first area once you start travelling upwards)

A lot of us have needed help with Dark Souls, so don't be shy about asking for it. That's what the forum is for. Anyway you're not doing so bad if you're about to take on the Four Kings, so go for it!
