PvP Guide For the New Players
First off to the basics. The best weapon to learn to play with in the start are the Uchigatana for Dex Builds and The Claymore or Zweihander for Str.
This Guide will be broken down to the use of those weapons in different sections.
Uchigatana
The Uchigatan requires a low amount of strength and is very forgiving on Stats due to its scaling with both Str and Dex.
The Player can use the rolling attack to get in quick attacks very easily.
The Sprinting Attack can used to close gaps and to deliver a high amount of damage due to it being a thrust attack.
The #1 thing to remember will using the weapon is the Bleed Effect, use it to your advantage.
#2: Roll!
Claymore
The claymore is a medium weapon that can be used effectively in 1 hand and can be used with a little practice 2handed.
When using the claymore try to remember to cover your back to prevent lagstabbers
The Claymore has a high amount of poise and stamina drain so use this to your advantage!
Zweihander
The Zweihander is the most difficult to use out of the three weapons but has the largest return for those who have mastered the weapon.
When using the Zweihander try to "Pivot" or Unlock from your enemy and use the left joystick to change your direction as you attack. This prevents lagstabbers and backstabbers to come up behind you during your attacks. Also try to use the range to your Advantage.

General Dexterity Tactics
When running any Dex builds do not use the Havels Ring. Using the Dark Wood Grain Ring can greatly increase your ability to learn how to roll in the start of your journey.
When using a Dex based weapon try to remember that you normally cannot break a larger opponents Poise and stun-lock him, This can used to your advantage to chain in attacks and fool your enemy's into attacking after you as you roll under they weapons.

General Heavy Tactics
Heavy Characters tend to wear heavier armors and roll between Fat and Mid Roll.
When using a Str Based Weapon try to unlock and "Pivot" to prevent backstabs during your swings.
Also try to use the most range you can out of your weapon.
Baiting is another tactic is widely used but can be dangerous against a well taught player.
to Bait simply act as though you have dropped your guard and do something silly like spin is circles or face away from your enemy and when he comes close
Builds
A Basic Build of 40 40 40 is normally used for Builds of all kinds:

Well as of know the population of the Forums cant really handle another serious covenant, but if you were to make a humourous one like the Gentlemen society or the Black devil ship. Then people would join (those are real covs dont take them)

Most areas are taken, And your new to the thread, wait until the DLC comes out and people get to know you better! If you want you can make a non-serious cov and im sure people will join if its clever. But right now the Forums cant handle another one.

The problem with serious covenants are that most of the active members of the forum are already in one (some in two) serious covenant and can't afford time to be in another one. The non-serious covenant thing is hard to get member, imagine a serious covenant with no much diference/originality (sorry for that)...

My sugestion is to you to enter a serious covenant (like the Darkstalkers or Lifehunter - the two most active) and see how things are running. In a few weeks the DLC will be released for the consoles and maybe the community will start to grow again, bringing more member to enter in those new-created covenant.

just bc theres already a covy with darkmoon or a name* doesnt mean anything,if you continue to hold it as you have been then the covies will stay how they r and scaring away new members is dumb.
