    Today my xbox stopped reading discs, any advice on how to fix it? I've already tried cleaning the dust out of it

    Before doing a thing, I'd check first to make sure you're in warranty.

    Nope its almost 3 years old I think plus the sticker got damaged a little while ago

    YouTube has some "solutions" to your dysfunction, but I warn you they are VERY risky tricks and tactics, so I've never tried any of them. But if you're completely S.O.L. you might want to give it a go.

    The owner sent me an email saying all he can suggest is blowing in the tray. Maybe ill have someone whos good with tech-y stuff help me get in there and clean it

    My xbox barely reads discs as well at this point. I have to spend 20+ minutes constantly opening and shutting the disc tray, along with tapping/lightly banging on it just to get it to read a disc.

    Honestly, I'd rather just get a new one at this point, the $99 repair price isn't worth it for me.

    Same, maybe ill just get a job and get a new one for $159 at the store lol.

    Too bad I can't get my hands/paws on it, I think I could help. I opened mine and used compressed air to clean it up good. Dang thing really gets dusty don't it?

    the reader probably got burnt out it good to have half the game you play installed and half not also was it the latest model(slim)
