What is the best way to scale GoA? Faith,Intelligence,Dexterity or Strenght?

Grab the cursed version and pump str/dex. Unless you are only doing pve where it doesnt matter.

I never said Cursed version. Only the normal one.

I know. Thats why I told you to get the cursed version for PvP because the true version is ****. Trust me Ive used it.

What's the diffrence?

Split, lower scaling AR which needs more stat investment to work. Its just a bad weapon for pvp at anything below 200ish. The cursed on the other hand, is not a great weapon, but it can be done.

yeah I would not waste my time/souls with it mate, I have a level 220 odd character, have like 40 of most of the stats and it does like 500 odd damage.. the R2 is crap!

Black Knight Sword/MSGS are much better! Get the Greatshield rather, that is the bomb

i had a level 300+ character that used the Greatsword of Artorias for forest hunting…i kept leveling up hoping that eventually the GSoA would eventually get better than my claymore, it never happened. the GSoA is not a good weapon at all, it's slow, the R2 is laughable, it doesn't even break poise as well as the clay. totally not worth it.

I did a GSoA night in the forest. Notably trying to dual wield them actually. I had far more success (FAR MORE) with my Priscilla's dagger night.

You should invest in it just in case you can use that badass flip move Artorias does.

Yeah it's funny. I've used a decent amount of weapons and very rarely come across one I feel is not worth the time to master. The GSoA falls into that category. The only time I use it is starting a new playthrough with my main going into the catacombs. Divine is nice and hey.....it does look AWESOME!

Sidenote, the dagger is pretty awesome if you take the time to learn it well. I had some surprised victims for sure. Imagine:

Victim: "Ha ha you fool! I have nothing to fear from your paltry 90 damage! Victory shall be mine"

Me: "Is that a fact?"

Victim: "Ouch, how did 90 turn into 360 so quickly? Nevertheless, I shall now smite thee for daring to venture so close to me?"

Me: "Is that so?"

Victim: "How do you have enough stamina to dodge still? Nevertheless, I shall swing again since you are surely out of stamina at this point."

Me: "Really now?"

Victim: "How did you..? Wha....? At least you can't attack any more.....right? Right!? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH 90 damage again.....no, wait......AHHHHHHHHHHH"

Its terrible, do not use it, even in PvE, there are weapons that are much better.

Some people are to serious. I play to enjoy pvp. Not always win. If you want to use it, do so and have fun. Yes it does kinda suck for dmg in pvp. But i use it and its not a bad weapon really. Just have to get used to it.

If it swings as fast as a Greatsword but does poise damage as an ultragreatsword, thats a Huge benefit in my mind.
