Oh, good question!
A buff adds (let's go with the 99 int variety) 441 damage to your weapon, right?
Well, the rapier only has 383 AR... so a 441 buff should theoretically make my rapier now do 2400 damage!
But that's now how buffs work.
Buffs do not contribute to the backstab mechanic, and are multiplied in a different way.
So, let's say you do 100 damage with an R1
Your buff makes your R1 do 420 damage... or 100+320.
Your backstab (with a hornet) does 1300 damage.
So your backstab will do 1620 damage now.
1300 + 320... because buffs do not get multiplied by anything.
In conclusion, the rapier will still do more backstab damage then the ricards rapier.
