The only way that weapon could come close to a one shot backstab is if you make it +15, buff it with sunlight blade or crystal weapon, put on the hornets ring, and use power within.
All of that should make it a one shot kill to most level 120 invaders with a backstab or parry. If not than i dont know what to tell you.

Although if you have a buffed weapon upgrade and power within, a smart defender will back away and block/parry if you start swinging. After your buffs wear off, then engage.

If you're looking to 1shot backstab, the lightning greataxe + hornets ring+ pw should outright kill anyone caught with it.

Path to max damage with that weapon within normal levels:
- Bandit's Knife +15
- 40 Dexterity and 50 Faith,
- Join Dragon Covenant and acquire Dragon Torso Stone
- Exit Dragon Cov, enter Darkmoon Covenant and ascend to Rank 3,
- You also acquire the talisman you will use: Darkmoon Talisman
- Buff Bandit's Knife with Darkmoon Blade
- Equip Hornet's Ring and Redtearstone Ring
- Equip parrying dagger
- Use Power Within
- Use Dragon Torso Transformation
- Use Dragon Torso "force" ability before attacking to raise damage
- Parry and riposte or Backstab.
- Profit?

Remember, the only cool way to do this, is to have zero poise, very low health, fog ring and some cool dark colored light armor

I think if he wants to pretend he is the frenchmen spy from TF2 he should use Crystal Magic Weapon over DMB. Hidden Body, Chameleon ect. are fun little spells that can add flavor to a BS invader.
