So, there I was, Lower Undead Burg, I had just triggered the first of the thief ambushes. I was prepared as usual, I ran to the first thinking to slice him and be done, but LO! he parries me, and it was probably the most epic parry animation I've ever seen, he parried my blade away as normal then grabbed my shoulders, flipped around me, then proceeded to backstab me...now, this is the first time I've ever been parried by these guys so I don't know if it's normal or not...has anyone else seen this?

Also, I was running past Frampt and he started his dialogue about me being a sorry fool and what not cause he's all jealous that I decided to play with Kaathe and not him, so I was all like "FOOL PLEASE!" and ran up to poke him with my Velka's Rapier, well I did that....then fell...not wearing the Covenant of Artorias ring and STILL managed to end up in the hall of the first flame, I fell and fell and fell, waited for the YOU DIED sign, then it went to loading, and I fell all the way to the floor, but before I hit a golden energy ball stopped me and I simply bounced a couple of times...now last time I jumped in the hole I died, covenant ring or not...again, has this happened to anyone else?

The thieves can parry, just like balder knights. They seem to have their own hornet ring too.

Once you get the lordvessel you can fall down the hole frampt pops up from to get to the altar.

Yeah, these are standard events/animations, albeit really cool looking ones!

Aw, I was hoping I seen something never before seen or some such, ah well, can't win em all. My jaw almost hit the floor when I watched him ninja flip over me to pwn me in the back, lol then I was sad that I can't do it.

I can swear I was parried by a Silver Knight the other day. I mean, I didn't attack, he just did the average parry animation with the Silver Knight Shield.

And just jumping into the hole is way faster than asking Frampt to warp you over. And... healthier for your mind too.

and i died when i fell down that hole.

oh and i just saw this and it was weird. in the bedroom with the three black knights in anor londo. i tried to run through the room like a idiot and one of the black knights parried..? i mean i dunno what it did. it grabbed my right arm and kinda waved it's cape and pushed me to the side, but it didn't attack. it did it twice i dunno what that was but it was weird

I've been parried by a good number of enemies in PvP (Still have my no PvP parry record going though) and that one is amazing. The Forest Hunter thief NPC is one you don't want to land one either.......

Lol.....thanks for the fix. The important thing is no one has parried me in PvP. Which is also why I don't join Fight Club. I gotta inflate the ol' ego somehow.

And ruin my record? No way. Actually, though I've put out duel offers before with no takers. Anyone is free to message me on PSN (same id as here if you see me playing a game). I just really need to finish Skyrim before the DLC is released and have very limited playing time. End result is I don't want to join FC because I'd have another month or two of dedicated Dark Souls. I have a 120 toon that's ready to go and based off of my main's focal points. I don't even care about the parry streak (or getting slaughtered) as long as it's a good fight. Warning though, all but a few fights of my PvP experience have been outside organized fights so I might not be the challenging fight people are seeking.

Anyone else have problems farming the Forest Covenant guys? I have problems with them getting to the ramp then backing off sometimes all the way to the starting positions, and sometimes they only chase me for about 5 foot before returning.

yeah this gets kinda tricky. the sorc will sit there and throw spells at the wall for hours before finally running up the ramp. i was doing it naked to avoid the thief back stabbing me. just look, sometimes they will back off and come back, sometimes you will have to run around them a bit to.

it also helps if you don't run to fast. seems the closer they are to you the better.

You die when falling down the Frampt hole, Unless you gave Kaathe the LV. Apparently his magic protects you, If you chose to side with him, Allowing you 2 entries into the FL altar. XD

Fixed that. Ive tried all 3 types and you survive as long as the LV is down.

I jumped down the first run through with the Covenant of Artorias on and placed the vessel (I didn't know Frampt would take me and had no idea Kaathe existed yet). Man was Frampt pissed at me. Decided to jump down later without the ring and no death.

Crap, I wasinccorect in what I said aboe. You dont need to have placed the LV to survive the fall, just have it in your possession. On my first run frampt was sleeping, and not wanting to make him disappear I simply dropped down the hole for fun and placed it.

Oh, so you have to have the LV in possession to fall down the hole and live to place it for yourself? I tried the covenant ring and dropped and died, but I didn't have the LV lol.
