Awesome. I'm back in!

So I have a couple of builds in mind.

Why don't we just post up a link to our builds, and let the rest of the faction vote on it?

Having hard rules instead of guidelines I'm not all for...

For example, I'm going to make a Silver Knight. Are these protectors of Her Royal Chestiness? Of course! Are they faith based? Not that I can tell.

Other options I was considering: The Firekeeper or one of the two Phantoms that appear after you kill Gwynevere. None are faith based really.

Last option would be a full-out maiden, but honestly I wouldn't know how to make her combat effective. Maybe just coop in Anor Londo and use healing/miracles with substandard gear to give invaders a run for their money. 1 on 1 probably would suck though.

Wyrm, I actually like Ghadis' idea of using the Maiden's Hood.

Me too, but as a DkS fashion expert, I prefer to have a versatility of looks for the builds. I think the gestures will do fine.

Ok, so my plan is to hang out in Anor Londo and wait for invasions/invade myself.

Suggested SL for this? I'm thinking 65; that'll give me from lvl 50-80 as a range, and I think that's about right for this area.

Hmm. Silver Knight is gonna be a touch on the heavy side.

I recommend SL 60.

Ghadis what's your build btw?

Sl 120 Faith build; 49 Vit, 40 End, 14 Att, 16 Str, 14 Dex, 50 faith, everything else base. I buff the BSS or Clay with DMB or use a Divine halberd. I'm probably going to include a divine Iaito or Uchi into that mix. I've been using Havel's gaunts, Black Iron leggings, PG chest, and Fang boar helm with the DWGR, but I'm going to take off the boar helm and the gaunts to fast roll. I'll keep the chest, and add the maiden hood, maybe swap Black Iron for Giants for the sake of this cov. I'll also see if I can get heavy gauntlets for the defense and poise, but I'll be fastrolling with the ring on.

I really would want the dragon slayer bow, but I feel I can't spare the points for STR.

On that Silver Knight build, swap the Cloranthy for havel's if you're not using the DWGR and add the sword, it's good to switch between them. I'd recommend going to SL 120 with the Silver knight, there's not great DM action at 60 because no one has gotten enough sin yet, seeing as they have to kill O&S to join the DW's and start getting indicted.

I will not use the DWGR, as it doesn't fit the build to be flipping around like that.

Sword I will menu swap, if I feel like using it.

Dark Wraiths invade regularly at SL60 in Anor Londo, since that's the level which most people are actually going after O&S. I'll just idle there (on NG+ so I have unlocked Dark Wraiths to buy Red Orbs), or invade others there. I think it's the right SL.

I don't see what Havel's will do, except allow me to have the Sword in my off-hand. For a spear user, Clor or Leo's is just excellent; being able to block and poke, or 2H and jab like mad to Shield break is very good.

I think my build is fine for what I want it to do, but thanks for the input. It is more important for me to be faithful to a build than to take "sorta" items and try to fit it in.

Example, I saw "Iron Tarkus" with the Eagle Shield and a Claymore (elemental). Weak. His armour wasn't all Black Iron either. No, my Tarkus build is tarkus through and through, heavy roll and all.

That's fine, but I think the Leo is better than the Cloranthy if you don't want to use the sword. I wouldn't call it essential for a spear build but it's a big help. Cloranthy is only really good when you're a fast roll or flip spear user, otherwise I wouldn't bother. Just use grass, it's such a bigger boost than the GCS or Cloranthy.

It stacks though. I have been using a flip ring DSS user, and have DWGR on at all times. Other ring I flip between Wolf, Leo, and Clor normally. Occasionally spell stoneplate. I find all have their uses.

I'll likely try out a few of them to see how I like it. I'm hoping that blocking and poking in narrow corridors will really help, with backing off and stamina recovery. Grass running out can really suck...

Is anyone on Xbox that wants to spar and is considered a very good player at PvP?

I have a playstation. Been debating getting Dark souls there, but now that there's DLC... seems like it's too expensive. Plus the miss just frowns at me when I play this game these days.

Think the Dark Souls welcome is wearing out.
